Sen. Fetterman Shuts Down AOC’s Impeachment Attempt Against President Trump

It doesn’t look like AOC’s push to impeach President Trump is going anywhere, any time soon.

Democrat Sen. John Fetterman just flat-out shut down the notion entirely.

Speaking to Fox News, Sen. Fetterman criticize Rep. Cortez for even suggesting impeaching President Trump in the first place, (rightfully) calling out out how it cheapens “what impeachment is really reserved for.”

Since President Trump announced the completely successful strikes on Iran, which totally obliterated the country’s main nuclear facility as well as two others, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has been calling for his impeachment.

The New York Post provided some more background:

Shortly after the announcement, Ocasio-Cortez publicly declared that Trump’s actions rose to the level of impeachment.

“The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers,” Ocasio-Cortez fumed after Trump announced the attack.

“He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.”

Other Democrats echoed that argument as well, with Rep. Sean Casten (D-Ill.) calling it an “unambiguous impeachable offense.”

Despite those calls, Democratic leadership has declined to go that far, though they did rebuke him for the attacks and argued that he should’ve properly consulted Congress before launching the airstrikes.

“I think impeachment is not a wide sentiment. That’s fringes,” a top Democratic source previously told The Post.

By contrast, Sen. Fetterman has strongly supported President Trump’s move to take out Iran’s nuclear facilities, and ultimately, bring a peaceful resolution to the conflict between Israel and Iran.

After AOC called for his impeachment, President Trump brutally slammed her on Truth Social:

Stupid AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, one of the “dumbest” people in Congress, is now calling for my Impeachment, despite the fact that the Crooked and Corrupt Democrats have already done that twice before.
