President Trump Pushes Back On Tucker Carlson

President Trump has pushed back against Tucker Carlson’s latest remarks.

In his most recent newsletter, Tucker Carlson critiqued President Trump’s response to the Israel-Iran conflict.

Carlson claimed that President Trump has abandoned his America First principles and is “complicit in war.”

The former Fox News host then went on the War Room with Steve Bannon and claimed if Trump gets U.S. troops involved in Iran, then his “presidency would be over.”

In response to Tucker’s remarks, Trump stated, “Well, considering that I’m the one that developed ‘America First,’ and considering that the term wasn’t used until I came along, I think I’m the one that decides that.”

Now, after being asked by a reporter on Monday afternoon what he thinks about Carlson’s claims that he is complicit in war, Trump threw a major jab at Tucker.

The New York Post shared these details:

President Trump rejected rightwing pundit Tucker Carlson’s criticism that he is abandoning America First principles with his support for Israel amid its military campaign against Iran.

Carlson, an ardent Trump ally, fumed at Israel’s preemptive strike on Iran last week, dubbing the US “complicit in the act of war” and arguing that, “politicians purporting to be America First can’t now credibly turn around and say they had nothing to do with it.”

Trump said he wasn’t familiar with Carlson’s critique but contended that, as a pioneer of the modern America First movement, he’s the final arbiter of what it means to put the US first.

Per Wavy:

President Trump on Monday took a swipe at former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who has in recent days been critical of Trump’s handling of the burgeoning conflict between Israel and Iran.

“I don’t know what Tucker Carlson is saying. Let him go get a television network and say it so that people listen,” Trump told reporters when asked about Carlson’s comments during a meeting with the British prime minister at the Group of Seven summit.

Carlson has been an outspoken critic of any U.S. involvement in a potential war in the Middle East, and he voiced frustrations after Israel late last week launched missile strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities and killed multiple top Iranian military officials.

Carlson wrote that Trump was “complicit in the act of war” and said what occurs next in the region “will define Donald Trump’s presidency.”

In a post on the social platform X last week, Carlson called out “warmongers” who he said were calling on Trump to demand “direct US military involvement in a war with Iran.” He specifically cited former Fox News colleagues Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, among others.
