JD Vance Lays Into ABC Correspondent For ‘Vile Smear Of Stephen Miller’

For the past decade, mainstream media figures far and wide have worn their disdain for President Donald Trump on their sleeves.

As we get deeper into his second term, it’s clear that many of those so-called journalists are still as venomous as ever.

ABC News correspondent Terry Moran, for example, was suspended by the network after posting a derogatory social media post aimed at White House adviser Stephen Miller.

The backlash against him was swift and severe, including a harsh rebuke from Vice President JD Vance.

According to the Daily Caller:

“An ABC journalist, @TerryMoran, posted this absolutely vile smear of Stephen Miller. It’s dripping with hatred,” Vance said. “Remember that every time you watch ABC’s coverage of the Trump administration.”

ABC did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“As it happens, I know Stephen quite well. And he’s motivated by love of country. He’s motivated by a fear that people like Terry Moran make rules that normal Americans have to follow, but well-connected people don’t,” Vance continued. “It’s why he fought so hard to get President Trump elected and why he works to [sic] hard to implement the agenda. ABC should apologize to Stephen. What Terry posted is disgraceful.”

Moran previously demanded Trump call El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged MS-13 member, back to the United States. Abrego Garcia has returned to the United States in order to face charges in federal court for human trafficking.

Although Moran has since deleted his post, plenty of other users have been busy sharing their thoughts and screenshots:

Of course, ABC News is no stranger to public backlash for its apparent anti-Trump political bias.

As the Associated Press reported late last year:

ABC News has agreed to pay $15 million toward Donald Trump’spresidential library to settle a defamation lawsuit over anchor George Stephanopoulos’ inaccurate on-air assertion that the president-elect had been found civilly liable for raping writer E. Jean Carroll.

As part of the settlement made public Saturday, ABC News posted an editor’s note to its website expressing regret over Stephanopoulos’ statements during a March 10 segment on his “This Week” program. The network will also pay $1 million in legal fees to the law firm of Trump’s attorney, Alejandro Brito.

The settlement agreement describes ABC’s presidential library payment as a “charitable contribution,” with the money earmarked for a non-profit organization that is being established in connection with the yet-to-be built library.

“We are pleased that the parties have reached an agreement to dismiss the lawsuit on the terms in the court filing,” ABC News spokesperson Jeannie Kedas said.

Here’s White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt’s reaction to the story:
