  • The government condemned the incident as an “attack,” and one suspect has been arrested.

RCN Noticias reported:

Presidential candidate Miguel Uribe was the victim of a serious attack in a park in Fontibón, west of Bogotá.

According to preliminary information, the former Democratic Center senator had completed his tour of the area and stopped to talk to several people on a corner.

There, he was shot several times in the back. Uribe was rushed to a clinic. His condition is serious.
