Democrat Judge ARRESTED for Vote Harvesting Scheme

You know that thing that Democrats claim never happens? Well, it just happened again…this time in Frio County, TX.

On Wednesday, Texas AG Ken Paxton announced that six individuals — including a Democrat Judge — were being arrested for voter fraud in the 2022 primary elections.

Here’s the list:

From the Texas AG website:

In August 2024, Attorney General Paxton’s Criminal Investigation Division executed multiple search warrants in Frio, Atascosa, and Bexar Counties as part of a multi-year election integrity investigation into credible allegations of vote harvesting. On May 1, 2025, Frio County District Attorney Audrey Louis and the Election Integrity Unit of the Office of the Attorney General presented a criminal vote harvesting case to a grand jury in Frio County. The grand jury returned true bills for the following indictments:

  • Frio County Judge, Rochelle Camacho: 3 counts of Vote Harvesting
  • Former Frio County Elections Administrator, Carlos Segura: 1 count of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence
  • Pearsall City Council, Ramiro Trevino: 1 count of Vote Harvesting
  • Pearsall City Council, Racheal Garza: 1 count of Vote Harvesting
  • Pearsall ISD Trustee, Adriann Ramirez: 3 counts of Vote Harvesting
  • Alleged Frio County Vote Harvester, Rosa Rodriguez: 2 counts of Vote Harvesting

Each suspect was arrested on May 2, 2025, with the exception of Rochelle Camacho, who will be processed at a later date. Attorney General Paxton’s Election Integrity Unit continues to investigate the case along with the Frio County DA.

Then, on Friday, Judge Rochelle Lozano Camacho decided to turn herself in.

Reportedly, she had been dealing with a medical issue.

KSAT reported:

One week after she was indicted in connection with an alleged vote harvesting scheme, KSAT Investigates has learned the Frio County Judge has been arrested for her role in the case.

The Frio County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Rochelle Lozano Camacho turned herself into the Frio County Jail on Friday afternoon. Camacho, who faces three counts of vote harvesting, had been dealing with a medical issue.

KSAT first reported about the arrests of the suspects last week, including a former Frio County election administrator and two Pearsall City Council members. Court records show they are accused of paying for vote-harvesting services targeting elderly voters.

The Daily Caller via IJR has more details on the illegal vote harvesting plot:

The charges stem from a multi-year investigation launched in 2022 after Camacho’s opponent in the Democratic primary runoff, Mary Moore, filed a complaint, San Antonio-based ABC affiliate KSAT reported. Moore accused Camacho of hiring a longtime Democrat operative to gather mail ballots, complete applications, and even drive voters to polling locations. She allegedly paid them between $1,500 and $2,500.

Camacho allegedly targeted elderly voters in a Pearsall, Texas subdivision, Newsweek reported. One of Camacho’s partners in the scheme reportedly concealed ballots under her shirt and used multiple vehicles to avoid detection from investigators.

Judge Camacho campaigned on a message of “UNITY, MOVEMENT and PROGRESSION FOR FRIO COUNTY,” and alerted people to the start of “mail outs” and early voting in 2022.  She beat Moore by 157 votes in the primary to advance to a runoff where she won by 72 votes out of 322 total ballots cast.

Vote harvesting typically refers to the collection and delivery of completed absentee or mail-in ballots by a third party. While the voter is supposed to fill out and seal the ballot themselves, someone else takes it to a drop box. Vote harvesting is illegal in many states, including in Texas.

This is great news.

It’s nice to see justice happening, for once.

But, I have to wonder how many other public officials have committed voter fraud in similar illegal schemes to rig elections…

Something tells me it’s not as rare as Democrats would have you believe…
