PROMOTION: President Trump Appoints Ed Martin to Prominent Role at DOJ

And…there you have it!

President Trump has appointed Ed Martin to three positions at the Department of Justice: Director of AG Pam Bondi’s Weaponization Working Group, Associate Deputy Attorney General, and Pardon Attorney.

Basically, Martin will continue the great work he has been doing to investigate the corruption behind J6 political prisoner persecutions and the weatherization of the government under Joe Biden.

Trump praised Martin and expressed disappointment at the Senate’s refusal to advance his nomination, naming him instead as an associate deputy attorney general and pardon attorney for the Justice Department — not subject to Senate confirmation.

Martin also will lead a task force Attorney General Pam Bondi created to investigate what she’s described as the “weaponization” of federal law enforcement, claiming without much explanation or evidence that prosecutors improperly pursued criminal cases against Trump under President Joe Biden.

“I just want to say Ed is unbelievable,” Trump told reporters at the White House earlier Thursday, calling Martin a “terrific person” who has “done a very good job,” but that his Senate confirmation was out of reach. “I can only lift that little phone so many times of the day,” he said. “It would be hard.”

President Trump’s appointment comes shortly after he was forced into withdrawing Ed Martin’s nomination to permanently serve as U.S. Attorney for D.C. due to opposition from Senate RINOS like Thom Tillis who refused to back Martin.

Instead, President Trump appointed Judge Jeanine Pirro to the role.
