President Trump SHUTS DOWN Fake News Lies About Pete Hegseth: “Just Ask the Houthis How He’s Doing!”

President Trump came to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s defense today amid a new hoax from the establishment media.

After three Pentagon officials were fired last week amid an investigation into leaks, The New York Times ran a story alleging that Pete Hegseth was involved with another group chat on the app Signal that shared sensitive information.

The report cited four anonymous sources, who claimed that Hegseth had a group chat with his wife, lawyer, and other family members where he discussed details of a strike on Yemen.

However, according to everyone but the fake news media, this report is entirely untrue. The Pentagon has shut down the claims as false.

When asked for his thoughts on the hoax during the White House’s Easter Egg Roll, President Trump called it “fake news” and pointed out that the ‘sources’ behind the allegations sound “like disgruntled employees.”

He also praised Hegseth, saying that he’s “doing a great job” and “everybody’s happy with him.”

“Just ask the Houthis how he’s doing!” President Trump added.

Watch for yourself:

Per NBC News:

Trump said that Hegseth is doing a “great job.”

“Pete’s doing a great job,” the president told reporters at the Easter Egg Roll on the White House South Lawn in response to reports that Hegseth shared sensitive information about U.S. military operations in Yemen with his wife and his brother on another Signal chat.

“Just ask the Houthis how he’s doing,” Trump said, referring to the Iranian-backed group in Yemen that was targeted by U.S. airstrikes.

Trump said that the latest report on Hegseth was “fake news” and that it “sounds like disgruntled employees.”

“We have the highest recruitment numbers, I think, we’ve had in 28 years,” Trump said.

During a Fox News appearance, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had previously commented on President Trump’s confidence in Pete Hegseth as Defense Secretary.

Here’s that clip:

The fact that Pete Hegseth is so often the target of fake news hoaxes like this latest one just points to the great job he’s doing.

Fake news can’t hide the success, so they just try to smear him.

The more successful Pete Hegseth is, the more of a threat he is to their corrupt agenda.

So much so, that the Deep State cronies want him gone, ASAP.

And, in the face of it all, Pete Hegseth isn’t cowering.

Just yesterday, he gave this spot-on response to the Democrat party calling for his removal:

He also completely went off on the fake news media in this fiery response to the latest smear campaign against him:

Secretary Pete Hegseth just spent 90 seconds absolutely FILLETING the fake news media

“What a big surprise! A few leakers get fired and a few hit pieces come out from the same media that peddled the Russia hoax!”

“This is what the media does. They take anonymous sources from disgruntled former employees, and then they try to slash and burn people and ruin their reputations… not gonna work with me!”

Now, more than ever, is the time to rally behind Hegseth.

Remember this:

Charlie Kirk beautifully pointed out:

When they come after Pete Hegseth, just remember everything they DON’T want to talk about…

Recruiting is up.

Morale is up.

Standards are up.

Efficiency is up. A

merica’s influence is up.

And most importantly, lethality is up.

What’s down? Only the influence of neocons and warmongers, and the use of the military to promote politicized nonsense. That’s what they want back — it’s not about some Signal chat.
