Joe Biden has kicked off his post-White House speaking tour as another way to get even richer off of his decades in public office.
But for one former aide to Barack Obama, the entire situation is infuriating — especially in the context of emerging details about the Biden administration’s efforts to cover up the then-president’s cognitive deficiencies.
Tommy Vietor didn’t mince words when he discussed the topic during a recent interview.
As the Daily Caller reported:
“Listen, I’m grateful to Joe Biden for the things he did, for his decades of service. I don’t want to hear him giving speeches right now — I’m sorry. I know that’s shitty, I know that’s petty,” Vietor said. “He doesn’t owe me anything, my opinion doesn’t matter here … I’m very mad at Joe Biden still. I’ve been reading Jake Tapper’s book about the Biden administration and the steps taken to kind of hide his decline. I can’t get into the details — it’s still embargoed — but it is enraging.”
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith also said Tuesday that he was uninterested in Biden’s speech, which was the first he had delivered publicly since leaving office in January.
“Waste of time. Fell on deaf ears. I watched about five minutes of it,” Smith said. “I didn’t really have much interest in it. Because he’s no longer the president.”
However, in contrast to Vietor, Smith criticized Biden’s record on immigration and noted it as a reason he did not believe Biden’s remarks were valuable.
“When he was the president, there were some things that he did, like opening the borders, which were horrendous and obviously debilitating to this nation,” he said. “And because of it, that accentuated the point that he needed to go and once he saw that, the man that once promised to be a transitional president, decided that he wanted to stay and ultimately had to be forced out.”
Plenty of other Americans are similarly opposed to hearing any more from the octogenarian ex-president, as evidenced by his apparent trouble lining up six-figure speaking gigs and the scathing reviews of the speeches he’s already delivered:

“This man is not well.” — Social media responds to Joe Biden’s first public speech since leaving office.
And they’re right.
Joe Biden reemerged in Chicago with what was supposed to be a powerful return. Instead, we got the same confused, tired, angry muttering that defined his time in office.
🎤 He began speaking over loud music — no one could hear a thing.
🗣️ He rambled about being in 4th grade and “never seeing Black people in Scranton.”
😳 He referred to children on a bus as “colored kids.”
🔊 Then he started yelling: “It’s about dignity… simple dignity!” — like repeating the word makes up for the fact that his policies have stripped Americans of exactly that.
ADVERTISEMENTAnd just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, Biden attacked Americans — again.
“Roughly 30%… have no heart.”
That’s what Biden thinks of you if you support Trump. No heart. No dignity. No humanity.
And yet, this is the man Democrats are still parading as their moral compass?
Meanwhile, as AJ Rice explained, the Democrat party is so desperate and visionless that: 🎪 Bernie Sanders is ranting about racial and economic justice on stage at Coachella.
🎤 Yes — Coachella. The place most attendees go to party, not to hear a lifelong Marxist call Trump a climate denier.
👴 “Bernie is the 83-year-old leader of the youth movement,” Rice quipped — “only slightly more spry than Biden.”
As if that weren’t enough… 📺 Stephen A. Smith, the ESPN host, is now considering a presidential run in 2028.
Even he admits both parties disgust him and he’s being urged to consider it because there’s no other leadership.
And behind all this dysfunction?
AJ Rice says it plainly:
Massive government waste, fraud, and abuse — “a grift,” he says — funneled through NGOs, fake unemployment claims (including one paid to a person allegedly born in the year 2154), and a political class that looked the other way for decades.
ADVERTISEMENTHe’s not wrong. And he’s not alone.
🔥 But here’s the contrast:
President
@realDonaldTrump
is not hiding.
He’s preparing for Holy Week with reverence and clarity. After surviving an assassination attempt, he’s become even more spiritually grounded — defending not just America, but Western civilization.
Because when Biden calls Trump supporters “garbage” or says they “have no heart,” he’s not just insulting us — he’s rejecting everything we hold sacred.

The Democrats are collapsing under the weight of their own contradictions.
The GOP has its flaws, but the fight for truth, God, and country starts with recognizing the difference.
Let them host concerts and scream about justice on stage.
We’ll take real leadership — even if it comes with scars.
The New York Post reported on Biden’s difficulty cashing in:
Former President Joe Biden’s attempt to bill $300,000 per speaking appearance is finding few takers, The Post has learned — as some of his own former aides say it’s time for the 82-year-old to leave the spotlight for good after reminiscing about “colored kids” Tuesday in his first public address since leaving office.
ADVERTISEMENTA source familiar with Biden’s faltering speaking career said that the 46th president’s standard pitch is $300,000 — 25% below Barack Obama’s $400,000 asking price upon leaving office in 2017.
It’s unclear how negotiable Biden’s rate is.
If travel is required, a private jet and expenses for five staffers also is expected for Biden, who has been repped since early February by the Creative Artists Agency.
Here’s another scathing review of Biden’s comeback speech:
