BREAKING: Democrat Senator Meets With “Maryland Man” Abrego Garcia in El Salvador (Photos)


In a complete reversal, Democrat Sen. Chris Van Hollen was allowed to meet with alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia this evening.

Sen. Van Hollen had traveled to El Salvador to demand a meeting with Garcia in the wake of the battle over his deportation.

Originally, El Salvador authorities denied to let Sen. Van Hollen meet with Garcia, whom he claims was “illegally abducted” from the U.S.

This, in turn, led to leftists screaming about how Abrego Garcia had possibly died in custody or was being held in some inhumane torture camp.

However, for some reason, it appears El Salvador changed their mind.

Perhaps President Nayib Bukele wanted to troll the left a little by letting Abrego Garcia out of his cage.

Maybe he wanted to prove that he is not, in fact, dead or some torture victim.

Bukele shared photos on Sen. Van Hollen and Abrego Garcia meeting over a table of margaritas on his X page:

Bukele was quick to follow up with clarification that Abrego Garcia will not be returning the the U.S. but will instead get “the honor” of staying in El Salvador prison:

The New York Post reported:

Alleged MS-13 gangbanger Kilmar Abrego Garcia was seen “sipping margaritas” with Sen. Chris Van Hollen Thursday amid his high-profile deportation battle, according to photos shared by El Salvador President Nayib Bukele.

Bukele shared three pics of the Democratic Maryland lawmaker meeting with Abrego Garcia, who was wrongly deported to El Salvador’s notorious megaprison last month, while lounging in the country’s “tropical paradise.”

“Kilmar Abrego Garcia, miraculously risen from the ‘death camps’ & ‘torture’, now sipping margaritas with Sen. Van Hollen in the tropical paradise of El Salvador,” Bukele said in an X post Thursday night.

Van Hollen (D-MD) traveled to the Central American nation this week to push for the release of the illegal migrant and purported MS-13 member.

After flying to El Salvador in search of a meeting with the Maryland resident who courts say was erroneously deported from the United States last month, Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., shared a photo with Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

The Maryland senator, who flew to the country on Wednesday, shared a photo on X on Thursday evening of him sitting down with Abrego Garcia.

"I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return," Van Hollen said in the post.

Abrego Garcia's wife was told that the meeting between Abrego Garcia and Sen. Chris Van Hollen was set up by El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele, a source close to the family told ABC News.

The source said Abrego Garcia and his wife, Jennifer Vasquez, were not able to speak, adding that the family does not know where Abrego Garcia is being held.
