Democrats have long been in the business of reinventing the English language in an effort to paint their far-left agenda in a more favorable light.
From eliminating “gendered” words like “mom” and “dad” to reframing the deadly act of abortion as a crucial healthcare service, leftists have an extended record of such behavior.
Although these rebrands are typically denounced by conservatives and rational Americans everywhere, one term — “Latinx” — has become particularly unpopular in recent years.
#LatinX is such an offensive term. I’m #Latina, and will NEVER use the term LatinX. All you woke #Americans who don’t speak Spanish who attempt to force us to use the term can kiss my behind. No, Latinoequis is not a word in Spanish, and it means NOTHING. You can F right off w/it pic.twitter.com/cwTaDO7cEL

Prominent Democrats have distanced themselves from the invented word, including Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who said in a recent interview that neither he nor members of his staff have ever used the divisive term.
Days later, Fox News provided an update debunking his claim:
“By the way, not one person ever in my office has ever used the word Latinx,” Newsom said in his viral podcast episode with Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
“I just didn’t even know where it came from. What are people talking about?” he added.
But posts from the governor and official documentation from his office pour cold water on this claim.
In an X post from 2019, Newsom tweeted the term in reference to a study on childhood poverty on his official government account.
On his personal account, the California Democrat used the term when discussing the COVID-19 pandemic.
“#COVID19 disproportionately impacts the Latinx community,” he tweeted. “Rising rates in the Central Valley are concerning. CA is making $52M available to increase testing, contact tracing and quarantine efforts, and sending strike teams to 4 counties with increased cases and hospitalizations.”
In 2023, he said that the Republican Party has “politicians that are banning not assault rifles, but the word Latinx.”
Newsom was subsequently hammered over the misstatement on social media:

Others performed their own investigations:
On his new podcast, @GavinNewsom is distancing himself from the made-up word “Latinx.”
Let’s take a look at his official state website, shall we?

This was hardly the only scandal brewing this week that involves the California governor.
As Breitbart reported:
Fool’s Gold: The Radicals, Con Artists, and Traitors Who Killed the California Dream and Now Threaten Us All, written by Susan Crabtree and Jedd McFatter, alleges that Newsom arranged for a bronze bust of himself to be sculpted inside City Hall to commemorate his term as mayor, using funds he controlled.
Newsom then allegedly feigned ignorance of the identity of the private donors who funded the bust, as well as some uncertainty about its design.
Other mayors have also been honored with busts inside City Hall. The funds for Newsom’s bust were to be donated by private individuals.
ADVERTISEMENT“Behested payments” are donations to charitable causes that politicians in California often ask donors to make on their behalf. They are widely considered corrupt, especially when the payments provide some benefit to the politician. (Newsom, for example, has requested payments to a project controlled by his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom.)
Co-author Jedd McFatter contends:
An analysis of Newsom’s “behested payments” reveals that between late 2015 and early 2016 three private organizations each donated to a nonprofit called Community Initiatives. As it turns out, two of those payments came from companies owned by Newsom—Balboa Cafe Partners and PlumpJack Management Group. Newsom’s companies specifically earmarked these behested payments for “Mayoral Bust at San Francisco City Hall.”
Here’s a clip of the relevant portion of Newsom’s recent podcast:
On his new podcast, Gavin Newsom pretends to be confused by Latinx…
