Actor Chris Pratt is one of the few Hollywood stars who is unashamed to speak about his faith in God.
During a recent “Fox & Friends” interview, he shared some personal insight into his decision to openly share that aspect of his life.
As Fox News reported:
Back in 2012, Jack was born seven weeks early and only weighed 3 pounds, 10 ounces. During a recent appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Pratt explained that his stance on faith changed at that moment.
ADVERTISEMENT“The most impactful moment was when my son was born. He was born early and had some health scares, and in that moment, I really made some deals with God, as you do when you’re praying, and I felt like if you save my son, I will give you everything.”
“I’ll give you my life. I’ll give you my platform. I won’t be ashamed to talk to you or talk about you. And he did save my son, and I’ve been trying to make good on that promise ever since,” Pratt said.
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star has referenced his religious faith in various ways over the course of his career:

Join me in praying for the brave firefighters sacrificing so much to save our houses and our town. Jesus protect the lives of those battling the flames and the lives of those who couldn’t evacuate. #PalisadesFire

When he caught flak a couple of years go for attending a Christian church, he responded by quoting from the Holy Bible, as The Independent reported at the time:
During a special New York screening of his newest movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, the 43-year-old was asked if he felt attacked over his religious beliefs.
“That’s the way it is, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated him [Jesus], too,” Pratt told Page Six.
“‘If I was of this world, they would love me just like that but as it is, I’ve chosen out of this world’. That’s John 15:18 through 20,” he added.
