Mar-a-Lago Raid Update: FBI Returns President Trump’s Items Taken Illegally

In the ultimate “lost and found” moment, FBI is giving back President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago items.

After over 2 years of legal battle since the raid in August 2022, it’s about time they give him his stuff back.

With Kash Patel at the head, things might finally start to turn around in that agency.

And this is a great morale booster to kick off his new position.

Washington Examiner reports:

President Donald Trump left Washington, D.C., on Friday without a deal for a share of Ukraine’s natural resources, but he did take something else with him.

Personal property confiscated by the FBI during its 2022 search of Mar-a-Lago was boxed up and loaded onto Air Force One to make the journey back to Florida.

“The FBI is giving the President his property back that was taken during the unlawful and illegal raids. We are taking possession of the boxes today and loading them onto Air Force One,” White House communications director Steven Cheung said in a statement.

The Mar-a-Lago search was carried out pursuant to the classified documents investigation into Trump. Officials confiscated 33 boxes containing classified documents the president improperly took and stored following his first term in office.

The classified documents investigation of Donald Trump appeared to have clear momentum in 2022 when FBI agents who searched the former president’s Mar-a-Lago estate recovered dozens of boxes containing sensitive documents. But each passing day brings mounting doubts that the case can reach trial this year. The judge has yet to set a firm trial date despite holding two hours-long hearings with lawyers this month.

Took them long enough.
