Republican Rep. Nancy Mace revealed that she was physically attacked on Capitol grounds Tuesday evening.
The “Pro-Trans man” who assaulted her was arrested by Capitol police.
He has since been identified as 33-year-old James McIntyre of Illinois.
Mace says that her arm was injured, requiring a brace and ice.
Last month, Nancy Mace made the so-called “transgender” community angry when she successfully banned transgenders like incoming Rep. Sarah McBride — a biological man — from using womens’ restrooms in the Capitol complex.
And, it seems that this attack was connected.
I was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight by a pro-tr*ns man. One new brace for my wrist and some ice for my arm and it’ll heal just fine.
The Capitol police arrested the guy.
Your tr*ns violence and threats on my life will only make me double down. FAFO. #HoldTheLine

ABC News reported:
Capitol Police have arrested a person accused of assaulting Rep. Nancy Mace inside a congressional office building in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday.
James McIntyre, 33, of Illinois is facing a charge of assaulting a government official, according to Capitol Police.
The incident was reported shortly before 6 p.m. when McIntyre entered the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill, which was open to the public at the time.
Officials said McIntyre went through security screening prior to entering the Congressional building.
Details of the alleged attack have yet to be released, but Mace took to X Tuesday night to address the incident, claiming it stemmed from her position on transgender rights.
Mace, a Republican representative from South Carolina, has made headlines and faced protests for her proposal to ban transgender people from using restrooms corresponding to their gender identity on Capitol Hill.
The Hill added:
A man was arrested Tuesday after Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) said she was accosted.
“I was physically accosted tonight on Capitol grounds over my fight to protect women. Capitol police have arrested him,” Mace said in a post on X.
U.S. Capitol Police confirmed the incident, noting they arrested a person accused of assaulting a lawmaker.
The police did not specifically name Mace in their statement but said a member of Congress’s office reported an incident just before 6 p.m. inside the Rayburn House Office Building.
“House Division officers, and agents with the Threat Assessment Section, tracked down the suspect,” police said in a statement.
The suspect was identified as 33-year-old James McIntyre of Illinois. He faces a charge of assaulting a government official.
Police noted that the Rayburn building was open to the public at the time of the incident, and McIntyre went through security screening before entering the Congressional building.
