AOC Accidentally Reveals the Real Reason for the Trump Trials

Oops.

AOC accidentally said the quiet part out loud, revealing the real reason there are so many trials against President Trump.

She revealed that this lawfare is all about keeping Trump off the campaign trail.

In fact, she seemed proud of it.

She mocked the massive Bronx rally, but in doing so, accidentally revealed the true reason for this trials, saying:

And by the way, he’s doing it in the South Bronx, not to make a point, but because he’s got court and the man practically has the legal version of an ankle bracelet around him, and he can’t leave the five boroughs because he always has to be in court. And so it is truly an embarrassment to him.

An ankle bracelet.

There it is.

They’re trying to keep him tethered to the courtroom so he can’t campaign in swing states.

Well, if he can’t go campaign, then he has to bring the campaign to him.

The ironic part is that AOC only let this slip because she was angry that Trump is campaigning in her backyard.

What else will Democrats admit when they become more desperate about Joe Biden’s already-non-existent re-election odds?

Democrat New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez gloated Tuesday that the Manhattan lawfare case against former President Donald Trump is achieving its goal of keeping him from campaigning.

Speaking to reporters outside Capitol Hill about Trump’s upcoming rally in the South Bronx, Ocasio-Cortez pointed out the former president is holding a rally in the deep-blue Empire State because he has a “legal version of an ankle bracelet around him” and can’t easily campaign in battleground states.

“By the way, he’s doing [the rally] in the South Bronx not to make a point but because he’s got court and the man practically has the legal version of an ankle bracelet around him. And he can’t leave the five boroughs because he always has to be in court,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And so it is truly an embarrassment to him.”

Not only is Trump limited by appearing in Manhattan court, he is busy fighting off a handful of other lawfare cases brought in D.C., Georgia, Florida, and New York by state and local partisans as well as the Biden Justice Department. His legal defense is a massive drain on finances as well as time — in a civil case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, Trump is appealing a $454 million penalty.

If Democrats want to play this way, then we’ll have to use tactics other Republicans have ignored.

And that includes massive rallies in New York!

No wonder AOC is on edge!

If Republicans were running nonsense trials against Joe Biden, don’t you think they’d be up in arms?

Of course they would be!

And the allies in the mainstream media would be complaining about lawfare.

Yet, AOC is able to say the quiet part out loud about the lawfare against President Trump, and no one blinks an eye.

Fortunately, the Trump campaign was quick to respond, according to the Hill:

Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for Trump’s campaign, said Ocasio-Cortez should “have learned her lesson after getting wrecked at the House Oversight Committee hearing, but she never says anything remotely intelligent.”

Last week, Ocasio-Cortez was among the lawmakers who clashed during an Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) accused Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) of wearing “false eyelashes.”

The lawfare has already backfired.

Maybe Democrats should think twice before disrupting democratic norms.
