Judge Rebukes Hunter’s Lawyers: “One Of The Big Hurdles That This Motion Has Is That It’s Not Filed With Any Evidence”

U.S. District Judge Mark Scarsi isn’t buying the arguments laid out by Hunter Biden’s legal team—a bad sign for Joe Biden’s son.

Hunter’s lawyers argue that the tax charges against him are purely partisan and political; they say the case represents a “selective and vindictive” prosecution that should be dismissed on those grounds.

Judge Scarsi responded to the arguments with skepticism and told Biden’s legal team: “One of the big hurdles that this motion has is that it’s not filed with any evidence.”

The Judge is expected to issue several official rulings in the case by April 17, 2024, but, so far, it isn’t looking good for Hunter Biden and his attorneys.

The Washington Post confirmed:

The judge asked Lowell if he could bolster his claims with any evidence beyond the timeline of the plea deal falling apart around the same time that Republicans ratcheted up their inquiries into the Biden investigation, and then prosecutors brought charges.

“It’s a timeline,” Lowell said. “But it’s a juicy timeline.”
