President Trump has responded after the main witness in the ongoing ‘hush money’ trial was cross-examined by the defense.

David Pecker is the former publisher of the National Inquirer and central to the prosecution’s case, yet many sources are reporting that the star witness has essentially ‘flipped‘ for team Trump

There is currently a lot of debate about this in the media, with right-wing sources reporting one thing and left-wing sources reporting another.

However, following Pecker’s cross-examination by the defense, President Trump seemed to praise Pecker; I doubt he would have done this if the defense did not stage a successful cross-examination, but more on that later.

The Travis Media Group provided some of the latest updates from the ongoing trial:

“According to David Pecker, Cohen wanted him to send paparazzi to a meeting he was having with Mark Cuban in an attempt to make Trump jealous and put pressure on him to treat Cohen differently.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that Cohen has been a snake this entire time, and would be willing to say whatever he can about Trump to get himself out of trouble.”

Travis Media Group highlighted the key takeaways of Pecker’s cross-examination by the defense:

“David Pecker admitted that at the meeting he had with Trump and Cohen in 2015 that “catch and kill” was never discussed.

He also admitted that a financial agreement was never discussed at this meeting. He agreed that Michael Cohen is prone to exaggeration.

He agreed that when he signed the Non-Prosecution agreement with the feds that he knew if he were to be prosecuted it would lower the value of his assets when he was trying to sell.

He admitted that Karen Mcdougals lawyer and Cohen knew each other personally, so they could’ve been discussing their own agreement on the side.”

The Epoch Times featured President Trump’s response to Pecker’s cross-examination:

“He’s been very nice. David’s been very nice. He’s a nice guy,” President Trump said on Thursday, responding to a question about Mr. Pecker’s testimony over the past week or so.

Johnny Maga reported: “David Pecker’s testimony today destroyed the prosecution’s case. He testified that Trump “had no idea what [he] was talking about” when he asked about reimbursing Michael Cohen for the Stormy payment. He also said the “catch & kill” scheme was devised by him & Cohen–NOT Trump.”

MSNBC and other left-wing, mainstream media sources continue to report a different story and claimed that the cross-examination of Pecker by the defense was “less successful.”

The Hill featured some of the testimony resulting from the Trump defense team’s cross-examination of David Pecker:

Emil Bove asked whether there was any discussion of “catch and kill,” and Pecker said there was not.

Then he asked whether there was any discussion of a financial agreement between the men.

Pecker replied with his primary testimony: that he agreed to be the “eyes and ears” of the campaign, notifying Cohen of any women attempting to sell stories about Trump and advising whether to purchase the stories.
