Fake News is at it yet again…
Following President Trump’s rally in Ohio yesterday, major media outlets hyper-focused on one line from Trump’s speech.
Here it is:
“Now if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole—that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”
Quickly, the internet became filled with news stories from the likes of NBC, CNN, Politico, and ABC (to name just a few) about how Trump is promising a “bloodbath” if he loses the 2024 presidential election this November.
Just take a look at these headlines:
I woke up to learn that there’s going to be a “Bloodbath” if Trump isn’t elected. How could Trump say that?
Too bad the MSM is lying, again.

And, it’s not just headlines.
Here’s how Politico chose to report on the story, for example:
Donald Trump on Saturday said it will be a “bloodbath” for the United States if he doesn’t win in November.
“Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath. That’s going to be the least of it,” Trump said during a rally near Dayton, Ohio. “It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”
While it was unclear what the former president meant exactly, the remarks came as Trump was complaining about the automobile industry.
And ABC News:
What was scheduled to be a guest appearance by former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally for Ohio Senate candidate Bernie Moreno, quickly turned into Trump saying there would be a “bloodbath” for the country if he doesn’t win 2024, while railing against the electric vehicle industry manufacturing automobiles outside the U.S. and using disparaging language to describe undocumented immigrants.
“We’re gonna put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not gonna be able to sell those guys if I get elected,” Trump said while criticizing overseas manufacturing production.
“Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath for the whole … that’s gonna be the least of it, it’s gonna be a bloodbath for the country, that’ll be the least of it.”
Trump’s campaign has pushed back on claims Trump was talking about violence throughout the country should he lose reelection in 2024, arguing he was talking about the destruction of the auto industry.
The Biden campaign also released a statement condemning Trump for “promising [a] bloodbath if he loses”:

Nancy Pelosi also quickly jumped on the train to push the deceitful narrative:
JUST IN: Nancy Pelosi races to CNN to lie about Donald Trump and promote the “bloodbath” hoax.
The face of evil.
“He’s even predicting a bloodbath. What does that mean? He's going to exact a bloodbath. There's something wrong here.”

Yet, despite what Biden, Pelosi, and literally HUNDREDS of articles online are claiming, President Trump wasn’t talking about the election here.
He was talking about car manufacturing and how it will be a “bloodbath” for U.S. auto jobs, which will be killed if he doesn’t get elected in November.
Here’s exactly what President Trump said during his speech, with full context:
“If you’re listening, President Xi — and you and I are friends — but he understands the way I deal. Those big monster car manufacturing plants that you’re building in Mexico right now — and you think you’re gonna get that, you’re gonna not hire Americans and you’re gonna sell the cars to us — no.
“We’re gonna put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not gonna be able to sell those cars if I get elected. Now if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s gonna be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it. But they’re not gonna sell those cars. They’re building massive factories.”

Here are a few posts comparing what Trump really said against the lies pushed by fake news:

The media is lying about Donald Trump with this narrative about a “bloodbath” if he loses the election. He was very clearly talking about the car manufacturing industry—before and after he used the word.
You have to be extremely disingenuous to take what he’s saying out of… pic.twitter.com/qhctYGpi7K

JD Vance called out the MSM over their obvious propaganda:
Donald Trump said that a bloodbath would happen to the American auto industry if Biden kept on promoting Chinese made EVs.
He of course is 100 percent correct.
All other reporting about his "bloodbath" comment is complete propaganda. The media should be ashamed.

President Trump’s team also responded to the obvious misinformation campaign against him with this statement:

Hmm…
So, Trump’s words were taken purposefully, entirely out-of-context by the fake news MSM to frame him in a negative light and conjure up a new propaganda hoax against him?
Shocking, isn’t it?
Biz Pac Review shared some more insight into the “bloodbath” hoax:
Corporate media malignment set “bloodbath” trending in a blatant attempt to drum up a “hoax in real-time” against former President Donald Trump.
The years removed from “very fine people on both sides” haven’t seen a change in tactics with coverage of the GOP leader from his friends in fake news. If anything, the latest example after a campaign stop in Dayton, Ohio showed they’ve only grown shrewder in their shamelessness.
Saturday, ahead of the Buckeye State’s primary election, Trump joined Senate hopeful Bernie Moreno and other Republican figures on stage in the midst of one of his lengthy stump speeches. During his remarks, the president highlighted differing approaches to China’s impact on the American economy by himself and incumbent President Joe Biden prompting a slew of narrative-supporting headlines.
As the social media account End Wokeness described with a side-by-side of Trump’s actual remarks and the clickbait coverage, “We are witnessing the invention of the ‘bloodbath’ hoax in real-time…Unfortunately for them, we have X.”
Examples included CBS News, Rolling Stone and NBC News, which had titled an article, “Trump says there will be a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses the election,” only to clarify in the subheading that he was speaking “in the context of auto manufacturing.”
Fox News also wrote:
The Biden-Harris campaign accused former President Trump of threatening “political violence” after Trump, while speaking about the auto industry at a rally in Ohio, suggested there will be a “bloodbath” if he doesn’t win the upcoming election in November.
Trump made the remark during a campaign event near Dayton on Saturday as he was talking about China and how “they think that they are going to sell” cars manufactured in Mexico to the U.S. “with no tax at the border.”
“Let me tell you something. To China, if you are listening President Xi, and you and I are friends, but he understands the way I deal. Those big, monster car manufacturing plants that you’re building in Mexico right now, and you think you’re going to get that, you’re going to not hire Americans and you’re going to sell the cars to us. Now, we’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line,” Trump said.
“And you’re not going to be able to sell those cars, if I get elected,” Trump continued. “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole, that’s going to be the least of it, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the country, that’ll be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars.”
