Mob of 600 Incite Violence At Georgia’s New Six Flags Opening – Police Exchange Gunfire

violence six flags shooting

It was to be a grand day at the grand opening of the new amusement park, Six Flags Over Georgia on Saturday.

But now it will forever be remembered as the day an estimate of 600 young adults stormed the park, causing mayhem, inciting violence, causing fights to break out. Even fighting the park’s staff.

Of course they didn’t stop themselves.

So naturally the police were called in.

The violence didn’t stop.

Gunfire rang out, leaving one shot.

A sad day, indeed.

Are we going to have another cry of defunding the police from the liberals, who turn a blind eye to this sort of violence since it doenst fit the narrative?

ABC News reports:

Multiple suspects are being sought after a 15-year-old was shot when police exchanged gunfire with what they described as an “unruly crowd” of up to 600 people near the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park in suburban Atlanta, authorities say.

The wounded teenager was identified Monday as Syere Littlefield of College Park, Georgia, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

he shooting erupted around 6:15 p.m. Saturday on a service road just off the 290-acre theme park’s property in Austell, about 17 miles northwest of Atlanta, according to the Cobb County Police Department.

Before the shooting, Cobb County police officers were called to the park by Six Flags Over Georgia security to help disperse “a sizeable unruly crowd” of 500 to 600 people “running through the park and fighting,” Cobb County police said in a statement to Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB-TV.

When police arrived, they were confronted by a large crowd leaving the park, which was celebrating its opening day of the season, according to authorities.

The GBI, which is leading an investigation into the shooting, said in a statement Sunday afternoon that preliminary information indicates Cobb County officers were responding to assist with crowd control near the park’s entrance “after several fights had taken place amongst patrons” leaving the park.

“At some point, multiple people began shooting, hitting an unoccupied CCPD marked patrol car,” according to the GBI statement. “As officers identified where the shots were coming from, they ran after people who had run into the woods. During the incident, one CCPD officer fired his weapon, hitting one minor.”

Littlefield was taken to Grady Hospital in Atlanta in critical condition, according to the GBI.

A handgun was recovered by police near where they located the wounded Littlefield, according to the GBI. It remained unclear Monday if Littlefield fired the gun during the incident.

Sad.

This sort of violence keeps spreading.

And the legacy media keeps inventing excuses as to why it continues.

Not even amusement parks are safe from rampant inner-city crime.

On opening day of the new Six Flags Over Georgia, a series of brawls broke out within the park, followed by gunfire outside of the location in which a teenager was injured and hospitalized.

According to Fox5 Atlanta, the opening day saw a large police presence, potentially predicting that things may go sour at the park.

The spiral of violence began when teenagers were seen running rampant in the park. Video shows a large group of young men beating and kicking a person on the ground.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, between 500 and 600 people ran and fought within the amusement park, prompting police to escort the group off the premises.

That failed to calm things down as once the group left the park, shots were fired at police officers from an unknown number of suspects, further throwing the scene into chaos.

It ended with police returning fire to the group of alleged assailants, ultimately striking a 15-year-old within the group who is currently in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.

A spokesperson for the Cobb County Police Department shared that no officers at the scene were injured.

Seeing as how crime rates are sharply rising in this area, I’m guessing this won’t be the last time we see this occur at this theme park.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution writes:

After historically deadly 2020, Atlanta homicides are up nearly 60% in 2021

I’m guessing whoever decided to build this park didn’t do their research.
