Capitol Police Provide Update On Senate Staffer Sex Tape Investigation

Can you guess what the Capitol Police have concluded regarding the now-infamous Senate sex tape made by a Democrat staffer?

According to the Capitol Police, no crime was committed and they are now ending their investigation into the matter.

The Capitol Police said in a statement that while no crime occurred, the filming of the tape was likely a breach of Congressional policy.

I guess protesting and entering into a building paid for through taxpayer funds, our own money, is the worst thing in the world, but filming a sex tape inside the Congressional chambers is alright.

Here’s what the Capitol Police had to say in their recent statement on the incident:

Fox News explained:

Room 216 in the Hart Senate Office Building is a storied hearing room.

The dais where the graphic video was filmed is a place from which U.S. senators have grilled high-profile presidential nominees, including those who would go on to become justices of the Supreme Court.

Russia Today mocked the U.S. Capitol Police: “No charges expected in US Senate sex-tape scandal. An investigation of the ex-staffer who shared a video of himself performing lewd acts in a hearing room has been closed, Capitol Police have said.”

CBS News provided background context for the incident:

In December, The Daily Caller published portions of a video showing two men having sex on what appeared to be the dais of a hearing room in the Hart Senate Office Building.

Reports soon identified one of the men involved as a staffer for Sen. Ben Cardin, a Maryland Democrat. Cardin’s office confirmed that Capitol Police were investigating, and said the staffer in question was “no longer employed by the U.S. Senate.”
