Former UFC Fighter Says Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Romance Is 100% Fake

Let me preface this story by saying one thing…

I haven’t cared about the NFL in almost 10 years, and I have never gone out of my way to read anything about Taylor Swift.

As one of our readers, you may have a similar mindset.

Even so, none of us have been able to escape hearing about the relationship between NFL player Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

Kelce, who was appropriately nicknamed “Mr. Pfizer” by Aaron Rodgers after Kelce became a spokesperson for the infamous drug company, has been in the headlines ever since he began dating Swift.

The NFL has been capitalizing on the opportunity to attract a new demographic by putting emphasis on the budding new relationship.

Oddly enough, the Kansas City Chiefs now find themselves heading to the Super Bowl.

Wow, what a perfect story…

You’d almost have to believe it were written up in a Hollywood script.

One person with a certain amount of insight within the celebrity world certainly thinks so.

Former UFC fighter Paige VanZant thinks that the romance is “100% Fake.”

VanZant shared a story of her own experiences with her former publicist who tried to match her up with an NFL player in order to increase her fame.

She asserts that this is the way that things work within the celebrity world.

Her story sheds some real insight into what may very well be going on between Kelce and Swift:

Our friends at the Gateway Pundit have more on VanZant’s theory:

“I was on Dancing with the Stars… At the time, I had hired a publicist. That was just kind of what you did. Everybody in LA has a publicist, and a publicist’s job is to make you more famous, to get you in magazines, TV shows, news articles, whatever, what have you. They get you interviews, this and that. So, at one point, my publicist called me and said, ‘hey, we got a call from this NFL player’s publicist,’” VanZant said.

She was then approached with a proposal for a staged date with an NFL player, complete with planned paparazzi and orchestrated public displays of affection. However, VanZant backed out at the last minute, standing up the unnamed NFL player.

“I am trying to be more, I guess, ‘famous,’” she mused. “I’m trying to become more successful. And of course, they recommended that I go on the date. They’re like, ‘Alright, we’ll have paparazzi standing by.’ So, they plan where the paparazzi is going to be. They plan, ‘We’re going to get a picture of you guys doing this at dinner. Maybe you’ll hold hands in this spot.’ They plan where you’re going to do everything. Yeah, I agree to it. Whatever. Get the NFL player’s number. We’re texting. He plans to pick me up at my apartment that I’m staying in. And the date comes, he shows up, calls me, calls me, calls me. And I pretended not to be home because I just don’t… I don’t want to. I chickened out.”

The UFC veteran didn’t hold back in her critique of the Swift-Kelce narrative, stating, “I think that the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelsey love story, it is 100% fake. I truly believe it is publicity.”

VanZant is far from the only person who thinks this relationship is completely fake.

In fact, many take it several steps further and believe the entire NFL is fake.

Personally, I give serious credence to that theory.

Count former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy among those calling out the potential facade:

Daily Mail has more on Vivek’s thoughts:

‘I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month,’ the former Republican presidential candidate wrote on X on Monday morning.

‘And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall. Just some wild speculation over here, let’s see how it ages over the next 8 months.’

His musing got over 1.5 million views and took traction on social media. It comes after the New York Times revealed the singer is a top target for Biden’s campaign, who covets her endorsement in the presidential race.

And White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre invoked federal law to avoid commenting on the matter when she was asked about it during an appearance on CNN on Monday morning.

‘Let me first say, I’ve got to be really mindful. I’m a federal employee, as you know, there’s something called the Hatch Act, so I certainly can not speak to anything that is related to 2024 in the upcoming election,’ Jean-Pierre said.

Vivek even took it a step further, pointing to a potential presidential endorsement to prop up the failing incumbent.

He may be on to something here.

A recent poll found that 18% of voters would be more likely to vote for a candidate endorsed by Taylor Swift…

Newsmax has details on that poll:

Although Swift has largely stayed out of the political fray – she endorsed two Democrat candidates for Congress in Tennessee in 2018 and Joe Biden for president in 2020 – a new poll conducted for Newsweek by Redfield & Wilton Strategies found that 18% of voters said they’re “more likely” or “significantly more likely” to vote for a candidate endorsed by Swift.

The poll was taken Jan. 18 among 1,500 eligible voters, with a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percentage points. It found 17% said they would be less likely to vote for a Swift-backed candidate, and 55% would be neither more nor less likely to do so. Of the 1,500 respondents, 45% said they were fans of Swift, and 54% said they were not. Just 6% said they were not familiar with Swift.

It’s a scary thought to think Americans would be so easily swayed by a woman famous for breaking up with men and then writing songs about how horrible they were…
