WATCH (HILARIOUS): NFL Coach Reacts to Reporter’s Weather Question About Playoff Game…In a Dome

This is absolutely hilarious…

On Sunday afternoon, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play off against the Lions at their stadium in Detroit.

A reporter asked the Bucs’ head coach Todd Bowles if the team is prepared to handle the freezing cold temperatures in Detroit.

“Looking forward towards Detroit. The weather has been a factor in some of the playoff games, even for the most prepared teams. Today, it’s 13 in Detroit. Any special plans to acclimate the team to not only endure, but perform, in those kind of frigid temperatures should you face them in Detroit?” the reporter asked.

There’s just one teeny problem with her question…

The Lions play indoors, and have played indoors for around 50 years.

Watch Coach Bowles’ reaction to the absurd question here:

The clip of Coach Todd Bowles’ hilarious deadpan response to the reporter’s weather question has gone viral online.

Many folks on social media blame DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) for the reporter’s ignorance about the Lions playing indoors.

Fox News commented on the viral clip:

Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles talked to reporters on Tuesday and appeared to be bewildered after he was asked about the weather affecting the game. Detroit is set to be 23 degrees with 10 mph winds. However, it did not appear the reporter realized the game was going to be played in a dome.

“Coach, looking forward toward Detroit. The weather has been a factor in some of the playoff games even for the most prepared teams,” the reporter said. “Today, it’s 13 (degrees) in Detroit which doesn’t compare to some of the temperatures … any special plans to acclimate the team to not only endure but perform in those kind of frigid temperatures should you face them in Detroit?”

Bowles took a second and then reminded the reporter the team will play indoors.

“They got a dome,” he said before making a face. “No … nothing planned. We’re indoors, and we only have to be outside for the 20 seconds getting off the bus. We’ll be OK.”

KTSM added details about the Lions domed stadium:

The Lions have played in the domed Ford Field in downtown Detroit since 2002. Before that, their home stadium was the Pontiac Silverdome for 37 years. Pro football has been played indoors in Detroit since 1975.

Weather forecasts have the temperature for Sunday afternoon at 23 degrees. But as Bowles said, the Bucs will have to deal with that for less than a minute when they get off the team bus. Otherwise, it will be a climate-controlled 70 degrees inside Ford Field when the Bucs and Lions kick off on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
