DEI Over Human Lives? You Can Thank The FAA For Insane New Policy

I truly believe that Western civilization is well on its way to complete collapse.

Hopefully, I am wrong or we can still do something to correct the course, but I am not an optimist.

Want proof? I present to you exhibit A: the Federal Aviation Administration’s new policies in a push for DEI. According to the FAA’s website, the new policy reads:

“The Secretary of Transportation has set a hiring goal of three (3) percent per fiscal year for individuals with targeted (severe) disabilities.

Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring. The targeted disabilities are:

  • Hearing (total deafness in both ears)
  • Vision (Blind)
  • Missing Extremities
  • Partial Paralysis
  • Complete Paralysis, Epilepsy
  • Severe intellectual disability
  • Psychiatric disability
  • Dwarfism

Individuals with targeted disabilities have the greatest difficulty obtaining employment. This is the only protected group for which Federal agencies may have a hiring goal.”

The insanity of the FAA wanting to recruit individuals with severe physical, psychological, and intellectual disabilities for air travel cannot be understated.

We have seen men destroy women’s sports and a whole host of other absurdities in recent years, but this right here takes the cake.

Prioritizing some false sense of virtue or feelings over safety is peak stupidity. Loren Culp writes:

“Welcome to the friendly skies. DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) is going to get people killed.

The suit claimed the FAA’s new hiring protocol eliminated the CTI program in favor of a “biographical questionnaire” to screen out candidates who didn’t check a particular box on a questionnaire.

That led to “thousands of qualified and highly-trained applicants” who had received the education and training while accumulating significant debt to be passed over.

In their place, the FAA hired off-the-street candidates who passed the biographical questionnaire.”

Fox News reached out to the FAA for comment:

When asked for comment on the initiative, including what roles people with disabilities would fulfill, the FAA told Fox News Digital that the agency thoroughly seeks and vets qualified candidates “from as many sources as possible” for a range of positions.

“The FAA employs tens of thousands of people for a wide range of positions, from administrative roles to oversight and execution of critical safety functions.

Like many large employers, the agency proactively seeks qualified candidates from as many sources as possible, all of whom must meet rigorous qualifications that of course will vary by position,” the FAA said.

The reactions online were overwhelmingly negative, with many pointing out the obvious insanity of this recent move by the FAA.

Zero Hedge pointed out:

This development comes after a Boeing 737 Max 9 jetliner’s door ripped off the plane while flying over Portland earlier this month.

X users have said Boeing prioritizes DEI initiatives, which could jeopardize safety.

“Do you want to fly in an airplane where they prioritized DEI hiring over your safety?” Elon Musk wrote on X last week. “That is actually happening.”
