Mike Pence Doesn’t Believe FBI Was Responsible For January 6th

Yesterday was the third anniversary of January 6th, which many on the left called an insurrection.

To this day, the events of January 6th are unclear.

Those on the left say that Trump supporters attempted to overthrow the government because of a rigged election.

While others say that the event was primarily peaceful and undercover FBI agents or ANTIFA members enticed those who entered the Capitol.

Former Vice President Mike Pence shared his two cents on the matter.

Pence stated that he does not believe that the FBI had any involvement in the matter.

The New York Post shares more:

Former Vice President Mike Pence rebuffed allegations spewed by former President Donald Trump and others that the FBI instigated the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Pence  – who had been trapped inside the Capitol when rioters ransacked the complex while some even chanted about hanging him  – indicated there isn’t evidence the bureau was involved.

“I’ve seen the director of the FBI repeatedly assure the American people that the FBI were not the instigators of the riot that occurred on January 6,” Pence noted on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday.

“Frankly, I’m very grateful for the efforts of the FBI to bring nearly a thousand people to justice who ransacked our Capitol and did violence against police officers to that day,” he added, calling for the perpetrators to be held accountable.

During a recent rally in Sioux Center, Iowa, Trump said, “There was Antifa and there was FBI — there were a lot of other people there too leading the charge.”

At another rally in the Hawkeye State, Trump described those prosecuted over the riot as “hostages.”

This isn’t surprising, as Mike Pence backstabbed President Trump in the 2020 election.

Theories have floated around that the left bought out Mike Pence to prevent President Trump from winning the 2024 election.

Politico shares more on the story:

“I’ve heard the many repeated assurances from the FBI that they were not involved, and I take them at their word,” Pence said during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sunday.

Trump has leaned on the conspiracies around Jan. 6 as he looks to retake the White House, claiming Antifa and the FBI were “leading the charge” as his supporters marched from his rally rally to the Capitol. Those who have been imprisoned for joining the riot are “hostages,” Trump has said on the campaign trail, a description echoed Sunday by Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Pence, who was in the Capitol during the attack and had to be whisked away as rioters entered the building and threatened to hang him, said Sunday that he was “grateful” for the FBI’s efforts to find and prosecute those who involved in the attack.
