Vivek Ramaswamy Unveils His ‘Ideal’ Vice President Pick: “I’m Looking For People Who Are Executives”

Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy spoke on his ‘ideal’ Vice President pick.

His ideal pick would be someone like Elon Musk.

Ramaswamy wants people “who are executives.”

Now he knows that Elon Musk can’t be the Vice President as he was born in South Africa.

However, he thinks Elon Musk is “the mold.”

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy revealed during a campaign stop Friday that his “ideal” pick for vice president would be someone like Elon Musk.

“I’m looking for people who are executives,” Ramaswamy said after a voter in Corydon, Iowa, asked if he would be able to find enough cabinet picks who agree “with you that won’t cut your legs off.”

“Not in the pool of Washington, D.C.,” the 38-year-old presidential candidate answered. “If you’re looking outside the pool, there’s 300 million mostly good people in this country … So, a lot of them are going to be outsiders. I mean, an ideal vice president would be someone like an Elon Musk. Now, he wasn’t born in the country, so he can’t, you know, but that’s the mold.”

Musk would be unable to run for the vice presidency or presidency because he isn’t a natural-born citizen of the U.S. Musk was born in South Africa.

I think Ramaswamy is partially right here.

We do need more business-type people to help drive our economy forward.

However, I would be hesitant with someone like Elon Musk.

Elon Musk seems to be fond of Vivek Ramaswamy.

Business Insider shares more on his support:

Elon Musk is coming out in support of yet another controversial Republican figure. This time, he says he’s throwing his weight behind the idea of GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy for vice president.

On Sunday, right-wing blogger Mike Cernovich wrote on X — the social media platform previously known as Twitter — that “Vivek is powerful.” In response, an X user with the ID @AsTheWorldBurnz speculated that Ramaswamy “wants the VP pick.”

“He should get it imo,” Musk tweeted in response to @AsTheWorldBurnz.

Musk on Sunday responded to another tweet about Ramaswamy, this time from Ashley St. Clair, a writer at the right-wing satire site Babylon Bee.

“I can’t help but love Vivek. The mass shooting issue is the result of a mental health crisis. We’ve created a society intolerable for many,” St. Clair wrote on X on Sunday, appearing to refer to the Saturday shooting at a Dollar General song in Jacksonville, Florida, that left three Black people dead. “Bring back mental institutions. Stop pumping people full of psych meds. Revive a sense of purpose for humanity.”

“100,” Musk responded.

What do you guys think?

Would Elon Musk or someone adjacent make a good Vice President?

Or do we need someone with more government experience?
