Let’s block out the sun, what could go wrong?
In a desperate and insane bid to mitigate the supposed effects of ‘climate change,’ a group of researchers has proposed a radical initiative to reduce the sun’s rays.
The Planetary Sunshade Foundation is pushing for the creation of a giant curtain in space that would hypothetically shield the planet from our star’s radiating energy.
Meanwhile, nuclear energy exists. If these people are so concerned with climate change and so scared over this alleged threat to our species then why won’t they embrace nuclear energy?
They will literally build a giant curtain in space, dancing around the cleanest and most sustainable form of energy we have, before demanding its usage. Can we ever take these people seriously?

The Planetary Sunshade Foundation is proposing the installation of a massive "sunshade" in space …

A planetary sunshade, the Foundation advises, could be the best solution for solar radiation management and should be viewed as a key part of global efforts to counter ongoing climate change on Earth. https://t.co/e3F8gm5yYD

BBC News had more on the plan:
First conceived by engineer James Early in 1989, the original design was a vast, 2,000 km-wide glass shield – a structure so heavy, it would need to be constructed on the Moon.
More recent suggestions include clouds of Moon dust, 55,000 wire-mesh mirrors or a planet-girdling ring of tiny umbrellas.
And just when you thought they couldn’t get more ambitious: how about moving the Earth further away from the sun, with an explosion equivalent to five thousand million million hydrogen bombs.
One individual, presumably a liberal, decried the plan and remarked: “Nope – oil will just use it to justify keeping on drilling & pumping. The critical solution is Just Stop Oil. We can clean up when oil is stopped.”

Earlier this year, Politico revealed:
The White House offered measured support for the idea of studying how to block sunlight from hitting Earth’s surface as a way to limit global warming, in a congressionally mandated report that could help bring efforts once confined to science fiction into the realm of legitimate debate.
