STILL NOT FOUND: Suspected Mass Killer Still On The Loose, After 16 Shot Dead


A massive manhunt is underway after a man gunned down 16 people and injured dozens of others in Lewiston, Maine.

Commissioner for the Maine Department of Public Safety Mike Sauschuck in a statement declared that authorities do have a person of interest for the shooting and named 40-year-old  Robert Card as the prime suspect.

State police have revealed Card is a firearms instructor who was trained at a U.S. Army Reserve training facility in Maine.

Federal agents from the FBI, ATF, DHS and several other agencies have launched a massive manhunt and have warned locals to lock their doors and stay inside.

At least 16 people have been confirmed dead after an active shooter situation in Lewiston on Wednesday night.

Just after 11:30 p.m., Commissioner for the Maine Department of Public Safety Mike Sauschuck addressed the media.

Sauschuck said at approximately 6:56 p.m., there were two shooting incidents across Lewiston with “multiple casualties.” Sauschuck declined to answer questions concerning the number of victims at this time.

He also identified the person of interest in the shooting as 40-year-old Robert Card of Bowdoin, Maine. This after the Lewiston Police Department shared a photo of Card, stating that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Per CNN:

Federal agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and others, have joined the search for a person of interest who police say is connected to the shootings in Lewiston, Maine, according to US law enforcement officials.

The FBI has sent dozens of agents and other staff to assist the local and state police leading the investigation.

These include evidence collection and SWAT teams, victims assistance experts and technical specialists, US law enforcement officials said.

Investigators are looking at cell phone signals to try to identify his movement in the hours and days before the shootings, as well as examining social media and other electronic records to try to identify his whereabouts.
