The Battle for U.S. Foreign Aid – Zelensky Denied Visit To Israel

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked to visit Israel amidst the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel.

Unfortunately for Zelensky, he was denied entrance into the country and was told “the time is not right.”

Do you think Zelensky wanted to visit Israel to pay his respect or maybe to regain some of the spotlight and get more foreign aid from the United States

The Hill has more on the story:

Zelensky’s attendance at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, a meeting of more than 50 defense leaders in Brussels, is the first time the Ukrainian leader has attended such a gathering.

The event offered a gain for Kyiv, with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announcing that the U.S. will send another $200 million in new weapons and equipment to Ukraine. That package includes munitions for air defense systems, anti-tank and anti-drone weapons and various artillery rounds.

But Austin also signaled that the Defense Department was preparing to offer more support to Israel in its war against Palestinian militant group Hamas, telling reporters that it “stands fully ready to deploy additional assets if necessary” — even as he assured that Washington could aid both countries.

“Make no mistake, the United States will remain able to project power and to direct resources to tackle crises in multiple theaters,” Austin said following the meeting. “So we will stand firmly with Israel as we continue to support Ukraine.

Don’t worry, President Zelensky!

The Biden administration won’t forget about you just yet.

They will continue to funnel heaps of foreign aid to you!

If this isn’t the wake-up that people need to show that Zelesnky was only ever in this for the money, I’m not sure what will.

The Times of Israel reports more on the story:

“Terror is always a crime, not just against one country or specific victims, but against humanity as a whole,” he said.

“The world must stand united… so that terror does not attempt to take or destroy life anywhere and at any moment,” Zelensky said.

Israel has repeatedly expressed support for Ukraine since Russian forces invaded Ukraine in February last year, but has stopped short of offering military aid, sparking diplomatic tensions between Kyiv and Jerusalem.

Of course, Israel wouldn’t give aid to Ukraine.

First off, they don’t want to anger Russia.

Secondly, Israel has always received foreign assistance from the United States.

They knew Ukraine would be taken care of by Uncle Sam.
