In a highly disturbing trend, more than 1,000 children have gone missing in Ohio this year alone.
According to sources, this is over double the average for similarly populated areas of the United States.
Police are aware that at least some of the children are repeat runaways but still haven’t ruled out more sinister scenarios like human trafficking or online grooming.
Ultimately, concerned parents and the people in Ohio have been left with more questions than answers regarding the missing children.
I find it strange that this story isn’t getting more coverage. Here’s what is currently being reported:

ABC News 5 Cleveland featured a related report:
According to the Ohio Attorney General’s missing children website, in August there were over 35 missing minors in the greater Cleveland-Akron area, and so far in September, there are over 45.
Local law enforcement agencies report missing children to the National Crime Information Center which then goes to the state’s website.
