President Trump Enters Plea In Fulton County Case

President Trump has formally entered his plea in the Fulton County case. …

According to the court documents, the 45th President of the United States pleaded not guilty to the charges brought forward by politically motivated District Attorney Fani Willis.

The former President previously stated that he would never plead guilty. …Why would he? President Trump did nothing wrong.

NBC and MSNBC correspondent Blayne Alexander presented the court documents and explained: “Former President Trump has entered a not guilty plea in Fulton County. He has also waived his Sept. 6th arraignment appearance. This means he will NOT return to Georgia next week to go before a judge.”

LA Times Sr Legal Affairs Columnist, professor, and attorney Harry Litman had this to say: “Trump doesn’t want to be part of the Fulton County arraignment parade that the court has ordered for September 6.”

According to The Epoch Times:

On Aug. 14, the 19 defendants were charged with violating the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, in a 98-page indictment listing a total of 41 charges.

President Trump is the fourth defendant to plead not guilty.

Attorney and former federal prosecutor Sidney Powell, publicist Trevian Kutti, and attorney Ray Smith have also pleaded not guilty in advance of the arraignments scheduled for Sept. 6.

In a related piece, CNN reports: “Sidney Powell, an attorney involved in Donald Trump’s post-election legal challenges, entered a not guilty plea and said she would waive her arraignment in the case in Fulton County, according to a new court filing.”

One user writes: “Probably not a huge surprise. I don’t think anyone thought he’d take a plea deal or plead guilty in any way. But now it’s official.”

CBS News provided background information regarding the other pending cases against President Trump:

In April, he entered a not guilty plea at arraignment to 34 felony counts of falsification of business records in New York State.

That case centers on reimbursements to a former attorney for alleged “hush money” payments to an adult film star.

In June, he entered a not guilty plea to 37 federal felony counts related to “willful retention” of national security information after leaving the White House.
