Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) offered a rare piece of beneficial advice to Democrats.
The Pennsylvania Democrat said he ‘respects’ Donald Trump’s strength in the state and that he still has a strong political pull among voters.
Fetterman spoke with The New York Times and the mainstream outlet asked if Trump’s indictments would hurt him in the Keystone State.
“It doesn’t matter. I’m a senator, and I’m not sure how many times he’s been indicted. He’s been impeached twice. Has that changed anything? You’re still seeing Trump signs everywhere in Pennsylvania. You have to respect his strength in all of that,” Fetterman commented.

Fox News reports:
Fetterman said he believes there are self-imposed limitations on how well Trump can perform in the state, but also implied that many Pennsylvania voters support of Trump’s message, making him a “competitive” candidate in the state.
“Trump would be very competitive in Pennsylvania. But Trump has to perform above his ceiling. I think there’s a hard ceiling in Pennsylvania he can’t get past,” he added.
ADVERTISEMENTFetterman, who has served as Pennsylvania’s junior senator for a little more than six months, was also asked whether he “concerned at all” about President Biden’s age. Dismissing any worries as the 80-year-old president runs for a second term, Fetterman claimed that Biden is “sharp” and “aware.”
“I’m not concerned about his age. And even if I was, who cares? There’s nothing you can do about his age,” Fetterman told the outlet. “I’ve spent enough time around him. He’s sharp, he’s aware, he is absolutely up to the task. I’ll be doing whatever his campaign asks of me. I know Pennsylvania, I’ve won Pennsylvania. I’ll be helping with whatever he asks.”
There’s little doubt Pennsylvania will be among the closest and most important swing states in the 2024 election.
Donald Trump returned to Pennsylvania for a rally Saturday and told the crowd “we’re going to evict crooked Joe Biden from the White House.”

Breitbart noted a recent poll between Trump and Biden in the Keystone State:
A recent Quinnipiac University poll showed Donald Trump and Joe Biden in a tight race in Pennsylvania.
“In a head-to-head rematch, Trump edges out Biden by a single percentage point in the Keystone State, garnering 47 percent to Biden’s 46 percent support,” reported Breitbart News.
“Predictably, most Democrats, 94 percent, and Republicans, 89 percent, support their respective party’s potential nominee. However, Trump boasts a strong lead among independents in Pennsylvania, as more than half, 51 percent, said they would support Trump over Biden. Biden garnered support from 37 percent of independents — 14 points behind Trump,” it added.
