Two Elderly Pro-Lifers Beaten While Praying Outside of Planned Parenthood

We don’t need to tell you what kind of people run and support Planned Parenthood.

Even so, this next story is very disturbing.

Two elderly men were maliciously beaten outside of a Planned Parenthood facility in Baltimore a week ago.

73-year-old Mark Crosby was praying outside of the facility when he watched another pro-lifer, 80-year-old Dick Schafer, get attacked from behind.

Mark rushed to Schafer’s aid but was punched in the face and then kicked in the head after falling to the ground.

Shaefer was allegedly knocked out cold.

The unknown assailant fled the scene.

Mark suffered a fractured plate bone in his cheek and was bleeding from an unidentified area behind his eye socket.

His friend Jay Walton, who is the president of Baltimore County Right to Life, asked for prayers for Mark in an Instagram post.

The Blaze reports on the violent assault on pro-lifers:

Police told WJZ-TV that video of attack “shows the suspect strike [the victim] in the face with a closed fist as [the victim] is on his back on the ground. The suspect is then observed standing up and with extreme force, kicks [the victim] directly in the face.”

According to WBAL-TV, police were called to the scene around 10:30 a.m., and witnesses pointed out the 73-year-old and 80-year-old victims. Police said the 73-year-old suffered a serious injury to his eye and face and was taken to Shock Trauma, the station said.

WBAL, citing one of the victims and a witness, said a man believed to be in his late 20s “went on a rampage” following an argument over abortion rights.

“He didn’t like their opinion or what was being said. The gentleman just took it into his own hands,” a witness who asked to remain anonymous told the station

The witness added to WBAL that the attacker knocked Schaefer out cold: “He speared the one gentleman over that flowerpot into the window and knocked him out. He was out cold for several minutes.”

Schaefer told WBAL of his own injuries to his hand, shoulder, head, and back.

“I leaned down. I was hit by a truck. I don’t know what happened, but instantly I was looking up to the sky,” Schaefer added to the station.

Schaefer told WBAL that Crosby saved his life — and both Schaefer and the witness said the attacker repeatedly punched Crosby in the face and stomped on him before leaving the scene. Medical staff at a nearby business treated Crosby until paramedics arrived, the station added.

Life Site shared more details of the attack:

Two pro-lifers in Baltimore, Maryland were viciously attacked outside an abortion facility on Friday, leaving one man in hospital with a fractured bone in his face, according to local activists.

According to an email by local pro-lifer John Roswell, on Saturday there was a violent, unprovoked attack outside of a Planned Parenthood on N. Howard Street in Baltimore, that left two pro-life men, Dick Schafer and Mark Crosby, assaulted and seriously injured.

Photographs of the aftermath of the event obtained by LifeSiteNews show Crosby with what appears to be severe facial injuries, while a GoFundMe campaign has been opened to help pay for his medical expenses.

Another photo taken outside of the Planned Parenthood shows what looks like are drops of blood on the sidewalk.

A third photograph shows a knocked over ceramic planter, with Roswell explaining that it was here where Schafer was “slammed” against the glass of the building, toppling the planter in the process.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Mark as well:

In spite of the pain and suffering he endured one week ago, Mark has already rejoined the fight:
