An engineering manager at Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta company (formerly Facebook) has been arrested after attempting to ‘sext’ a child.
44-year-old Josh Felker was busted as part of an undercover sting after he sent explicit text messages to someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl.
Even more disturbingly, this guy was in charge of “creating digital experiences for kids” at the social media giant.
The New York Post reported further on the truly disgusting details:
Josh Felker, 44, an engineering manager who’s now on leave from the Facebook parent company, admitted he had been grooming and sexting someone he thought was a teen girl during a sting by Predator Poachers Long Island, a vigilante group that seeks to catch would-be pervs.
“Even though inappropriate things had already gone on, I just almost wish I could be her dad,” Felker, who is married and has a small child, shockingly told a member of the group posing as his would-be victim’s grandmother on the phone, according to video of the encounter set to be released Monday.
Felker, who listed his job on a now-deleted LinkedIn account as an Engineering Manager who built “digital experiences for kids” for the Meta reached out to the group’s 13-year-old “decoy account” in May and has been messaging them regularly since, the group said.
It didn’t take long after before Felker allegedly started making a slew of sick remarks — including trying to teach the girl how to masturbate — while sending multiple photos and videos of himself doing the same and even trying to set up days to meet her in person, Mike Villani, one of the predator catchers who led the poach, told The Post.

This man is married with a wife and young child of his own.
While he was being confronted by the pedophile buster group, Josh Felker admitted that this was not the first time he groomed a child.
He then went on to pin the blame on his wife for not satisfying him in their marriage.

During the encounter, which lasted nearly two hours and was captured on video scheduled for public release, Felker allegedly acknowledged the authenticity of the chat logs presented to him. In a particularly disturbing admission, he reportedly told group members this was not his first time engaging in such behavior with a minor.
“I did this once before with another girl who is underaged,” Felker stated in the video, according to the group…
Felker allegedly attributed his behavior to problems in his marriage, claiming a lack of intimacy with his wife had driven him to seek inappropriate connections online. He described the situation by saying minors represented “any port in a storm” for him.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after Felker allegedly confessed to the activities documented in the chat logs. He was arrested within blocks of his Manhattan residence and faces serious criminal charges.
Felker has been charged with disseminating indecent material to minors and endangering the welfare of a child. At his arraignment on Thursday, he entered a plea of not guilty. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 9.
