For those who can’t get enough of the hemming and hawing during the hourlong weekday broadcasts of ABC’s “The View,” one of the show’s producers also hosts a podcast that goes even deeper into the quintet’s on-air grievances against President Donald Trump.
In a recent episode, Brian Tetan pushed back against one narrative “The View” co-host Joy Behar has repeatedly used to dismiss criticism of Democrat candidates.
As Fox News reported:
Behar brought up the late Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy during the “Behind the Table” podcast, hosted by Teta, and said, “Teddy Kennedy had that whole thing with Chappaquiddick, and yet people still wanted him in Congress. Why? Because he voted correctly.”
ADVERTISEMENT“Unfortunately, this is the world we live in,” she added.
Teta pushed back, saying, “Just to be fair about it though, because for years on this show, you and others have said, you were frustrated with people that turned a blind eye to things that you think that Donald Trump did wrong.”
Behar acknowledged her feelings toward Trump voters, as Teta noted people voted for him anyway.
“And that made you crazy, so by that context, because people were voting for him because they wanted the Supreme Court to go a separate way, or they wanted tax cuts,” he said.
Behar noted that it was a “difficult situation.”
Behar’s position on Platner, who has since dropped out of the election, was the topic of some social media criticism:
She is a democrat. She had MTG on her show lauding the merits of Platner, much to the joy of the panel. They are liars who knew all about his background but because he was a democrat and doing well they could not care. Then they got exposed for their lies.

And the comments of other prominent Democrats are also coming back to bite them as the dust settles around a crumbled Platner campaign:

Let’s be completely honest about what happened here. Every single Democrat went out there and defended every other Graham Platner scandal until the wheels came off.
They only cared about one thing: poll numbers.
Now the numbers are bad, and they have no one to blame but… pic.twitter.com/Ta540SJcQa

Here’s what President Donald Trump had to say about the situation just hours before Platner announced he would end his campaign, per The Hill:
“It’s really a question of whether or not you believe the woman. A lot of people say big falsehoods,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One.
“He’s in a bind,” he added.
The president’s remarks came hours before Platner dropped out of the race over the controversy sparked by two accusations of rape, along with previous scandals regarding controversial remarks online and a tattoo that resembled a Nazi symbol.
“I just want to make it clear. This is all false. The things that have been claimed did not happen. It’s not real,” Platner said in an 11-minute-long video, denying the rape allegations.
“It has placed an immense amount of weight on me as I think about what needs to happen now,” he added in the clip, where he announced he was suspending campaign operations.
