Although his viral campaign might be over following a late-stage rally by Nithya Raman, it’s clear that Spencer Pratt isn’t backing off from his effort to hold Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass accountable.
The former reality TV star was among those who lost his home in the Palisades fire, an experience that prompted him to enter the mayoral race.
And now, he’s got the mayor’s own brother on board, as Fox News reported:
Pratt, 42, gave the public nod of approval to the LA mayor’s brother, Kenneth Bass, who last month sued the city, state, and additional agencies as part of broader legal action filed following the deadly Palisades fire.
ADVERTISEMENT“I am proud to be teaming up with Karen Bass’ brother in suing his sister for her reckless negligence that led to the destruction of our homes,” Pratt posted on X Saturday.
“I hope their Thanksgiving dinner isn’t too awks. I know ours hasn’t been the same since last year … “
Kenneth and his wife, Cindy, claimed to suffer physical injuries and emotional distress as a result of the fire, which destroyed their Malibu home.
Kenneth and a handful of new residents joined the initial Palisades Fire Litigation suit, which was filed against the City of Los Angeles days after flames ripped through the beach-side community, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
The apparent family rift drew attention from plenty of others:
I bet it's money laundering and they are both in on it.

And they will still re-Elect her. They are so convinced that conservatives are evil that they would rather burn it down.

Here’s more about the lawsuit, per the New York Post:
While Pratt hasn’t joined an official lawsuit with Kenneth Bass, he appears to be referring to the separate lawsuit he filed against the city last year.
ADVERTISEMENTHe and his wife Heidi Montag sued LA and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power on Jan. 21, 2025, after their Pacific Palisades home was destroyed in the Palisades Fire, which erupted on Jan. 7.
Their lawsuit alleges the city and utility failed to maintain an adequate water supply for firefighting efforts, contributing to the loss of homes and property. The case is still in discovery.
The complaint centers on the Santa Ynez Reservoir, a 117-million-gallon facility that had been out of service and empty since early 2024 while undergoing repairs.
Pratt, Montag and other plaintiffs argue the lack of available water reduced pressure to hydrants during the wildfire.
City officials, meanwhile, have argued the reservoir was offline to comply with drinking water regulations and that the extreme winds and fire conditions would’ve challenged any municipal water system.
And here’s some commentary about another big post-election tease from Pratt:
