A manhunt is currently underway after an ICE-involved shooting in New Jersey.
This morning, immigration authorities attempted to arrest a suspect. Instead of surrendering, this individual tried to ram them with a van before fleeing the scene.
One ICE agent was struck by the vehicle and opened fire in self-defense.
But, the suspect drove away and has not been located since.
Fox News reported:
A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent was struck by a fleeing suspect’s vehicle and opened fire during an attempted apprehension in New Jersey on Monday morning, authorities said, as the suspect escaped and remained on the run.
The confrontation unfolded shortly after 9:30 a.m. along Route 72 in Manahawkin, where federal immigration agents were attempting to take a suspect into custody, according to the Stafford Township Police Department.
The individual allegedly struck an ICE agent while fleeing in a vehicle, police said.
The agent fired at the vehicle, which was reportedly hit by gunfire, but the suspect drove away and had not been located as of Monday afternoon, according to authorities.

At this time, we don’t know the extent of the ICE agent’s injuries. Hopefully, they are not too severe.
