For all the left’s supposed outrage over “doxxing,” it appears to only surface when a leftist is the one whose personal information is being released and exploited for political gain.
But not everyone is turning a blind eye to the latest publicity ploy from New York City’s socialist mayor.
As the New York Post reported, Zohran Mamdani staged a viral video outside one of the city’s wealthiest citizens … and another notable New Yorker was quick to condemn the act:
Vornado Realty Trust chairman Steve Roth went off on Zohran Mamdani in an earnings call on Tuesday, calling the mayor’s public mugging of billionaire Ken Griffin a “blunder” and an “ugly, unnecessary video stunt.”
ADVERTISEMENTIt was about time New York City’s heavy hitters in real estate finally came off the ropes against the communistic mayor.
Back on Feb. 12, I implored them to show some guts standing up to Mamdani, whom some top builders, eager to curry favor, foolishly praised for “listening to our concerns.” But Mamdani’s stupid and potentially catastrophic video finally spurred them to action.
The clip, which assailed mega-billionaire Griffin for owning a $238 million apartment, could deflate Griffin’s commitment to partner with Vornado and the Rudin organization to build a $4.5 billion skyscraper on Park Avenue between East 51st and 52nd streets.
“We are all shocked that our young mayor would pull this stunt in front of Ken’s home and single him out for ridicule,” Roth said on a Tuesday earnings call. “This was both irresponsible and dangerous.”
Other New Yorkers are starting to put the pieces together:

Welcome to 220 Central Park South, where there are 118 residential units.
The penthouse suite is owned by Ken Griffin. Zohran Mamdani and the socialists have been targeting this building as an example as to why they should, “Tax the Rich,” to be able to afford the billions he wants to spend on universal childcare, healthcare for migrants, breadlines etc.
Billionaires like Kevin O’Leary have been warning a Pied-à-Terre Tax will force wealthy people out of the city. Recently Griffin prepared to halt the “redevelopment of 350 Park Avenue, creating 6,000 highly paid construction jobs and supporting the creation of more than 15,000 permanent jobs in mid-town New York.”
The socialists have LIED saying there is 0 risk to the “Fair Share Act and the Pied-à-Terre Tax, saying billionaires won’t leave because of amazing NYC culture. HAHAHA
What an absolute liar. He is turning NYC into a communist ran slum. This man has no place in office. America has no place for commie idiots. PERIOD!!!!
Here’s Griffin’s response to the ordeal:

“This has gotten frightening. The CEO of United Health was killed a few blocks from my house,” Griffin said
“It was CREEPY and WEIRD. Knock knock knock on the window. Huh? Mayor of NYC?”
Griffin added that he will “double down” on his Miami ventures, per Reuters
This Ugandan Communist SCAMMER thought it was a good idea to tell investors who pay taxes to screw off.
Freaking amazing.
And Fox Business chimed in with what would appear to be evidence of the mayor’s hypocrisy on the importance of the city’s wealthy citizens:
Last week, Mamdani publicly thanked Citadel billionaire Ken Griffin for supporting police funding, a moment that flew somewhat under the radar but offered a glimpse into a more complicated dynamic between the hedge fund king and the socialist mayor.
“I want to thank everyone who is here with us in the Hall of Heroes today, with special thanks to Police Commissioner [Jessica] Tisch and NYPD leadership,” Mamdani said at One Police Plaza, speaking before department brass and families of slain officers.
“I also want to thank Ken Griffin for funding a memorial wall that will open later this year,” he added.
The acknowledgment came just days after a public spat between the two, sparked by Mamdani’s viral April 15 video promoting a proposed tax on second homes worth more than $5 million. Filmed outside Griffin’s 24,000-square-foot Central Park South penthouse—purchased for a record $238 million—the video singled out Griffin by name.
