American college campuses have long been hotbeds for radical far-left ideologies. But in today’s hyper-politicized environment, those college radicals are taking their objectionable rhetoric and behavior to new extremes.
One recent example comes from Kent State University, where a group from Turning Point USA were gathered to engage in conversations with students.
As footage reveals, one student was having none of it and approached their table with what appeared to be a pair of scissors. At one point in the profanity-laced tirade, the individual appeared to make a vile reference to the group’s founder, Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot on another college campus last year.
Here’s what the Daily Caller reported:
“Go fuck yourselves and you fucking neck gushers too,” the student says, referencing Kirk’s assassination, as she leaves. Turning Point USA called the incident “unhinged” in the caption. The video has been viewed over 500,000 times as of publication.
Kent State University addressed the incident in a statement published to its website.
“Kent State University is aware of an incident today in which a person confronted a student organization that was exercising its right to free expression on the student center plaza. The individual used scissors to pop the group’s balloons and directed profanities at the students. This disruptive and violent behavior has no place at Kent State, and university police are now investigating the matter,” the statement read.
The incident is not the first time students representing Turning Point USA chapters on their college campuses have been targeted.
In October 2025, a teacher’s assistant at Illinois State University appeared to flip over tables and tear down flyers promoting a Turning Point USA event on the campus, according to video obtained by Fox News.
At least the school managed to put out a statement denouncing the behavior, but that’s probably not much comfort to TPUSA-linked students who have seen a pattern of intimidation and violence against the group.

And it came on the heels of the apparent on-camera assault of Turning Point USA’s Savannah Hernandez:

And Kirk’s widow and current TPUSA chairwoman Erika Kirk was at Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which was cut short when a gunman opened fire at the venue.
She spoke about the current state of political discourse in remarks made after that incident, as NewsNation reported:
Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is taking time off after a viral moment showed her leaving last weekend’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in tears after a gunman’s foiled intrusion at the event.
Charlie Kirk was assassinated Sept. 10 as he spoke at a college campus in Utah. On Wednesday, his wife blamed continuing political violence on the “radicalization” of Americans and said on social media Monday, “Enough is enough.”
TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet said Erika Kirk was traumatized by the disturbance at the Washington Hilton on Saturday.
Here’s the latest on those facing charges related to the Hernandez case:
