The same governor who appeared to sit idly by (if not tacitly encourage) the rampant fraud that took place under his watch is now trying to take credit for the recent federal raids that helped expose even more of the widespread crime being perpetrated across Minnesota.
Tim Walz was roundly criticized for his unbelievable claim, and Fox News reported that one of those critics was in a good position to know the truth:
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz faced immediate backlash Tuesday after claiming credit for federal fraud raids in Minneapolis, prompting a sharp rebuke from FBI Director Kash Patel.
The clash underscores growing political tensions over a sweeping probe into fraud that critics say unfolded under Walz’s watch, as federal authorities now take the lead.
ADVERTISEMENT“Come again?” Patel posted on X in response to Walz, who claimed that Tuesday’s raids happened because Minnesota state agencies “caught irregular behavior and reported it.”
Several other prominent social media accounts took their shots at Walz, who has been the butt of countless jokes since his disastrous campaign with Kamala Harris and a string of revelations from his past:
The same guy who spent a whole hearing dodging questions about $9 BILLION in fraud in Minnesota and talking about ICE instead is now praising fraud control.
Tomorrow, we will pass legislation in the Committee to make sure it never happens again.

Here’s some coverage from NewsNation on the recent raids:
Businesses raided reportedly include the Quality Learning Center daycare.
That location was at the center of fraud allegations following a video from YouTuber Nick Shirley, who posted a video where he visited various businesses that he said were not operating as they should be, alleging that the businesses were defrauding Minnesota social services programs.
One of the daycare centers pushed back, showing surveillance footage of children being dropped off the day Shirley visited and claimed it was empty.
Several of the businesses Shirley visited had active licenses and had recently been visited by state regulators, according to other independent investigations.
ADVERTISEMENTThe White House has launched investigations into alleged fraud that is said to be perpetrated by service providers who billed the state for services that were never provided to the public.
The Department of Health and Human Services also changed the way that states must submit claims for Medicaid-supported daycares in response to the allegations.
“Homeland Security Investigations in cooperation with our law enforcement partners executed criminal search warrants in Minneapolis relating to the rampant fraud of U.S. taxpayers dollars. The American people deserve answers in how their taxpayer money was abused,” the Department of Homeland Security said on social media.
