WATCH: New Footage Shows Secret Service Apprehending WHCA Dinner Sh**ter ALIVE


This evening, a gunman opened fire at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

President Trump and other members of his administration were safely evacuated, and nobody was injured.

Now, we have a big update on the suspect.

Early reports indicated that the shooter was killed on the scene.

However, this no longer seems to be the case.

New footage shows the Secret Service apprehending the suspect, who is very much alive in the video.

🇺🇸BREAKING: The first image of the alleged shooter from the White House Correspondents' Dinner has emerged, showing a body on the stairs at the Washington Hilton surrounded by law enforcement.

Secret Service rushed Trump and other officials off the dais after gunfire erupted, and the shooter was neutralized on scene with no injuries to the president or VIPs.

AP confirmed that the FBI has the suspect in custody:

The FBI said the shooter is in custody and that its Washington field office is responding to the shooting.

As for the shooter's identity, CNN reports that he is a 30-year-old male from California:

Authorities have identified the suspected gunman as a 30-year-old male from California, according to multiple law enforcement officials briefed on the latest.

Fox News and New York Post columnist Karol Markowicz has identified him as Cole Allen -- a teacher in Torrance, CA.
