President Trump and other members of his cabinet were swiftly evacuated after the shooting at tonight’s White House Correspondents Dinner.
Fortunately, President Trump and everyone in attendance at the event are safe and unharmed.
However, the media is now reporting that one Secret Service member was shot in the chest during the terrible incident.
His protective vest stopped the bullet from likely killing him, and he was taken to a nearby hospital.

The officer is expected to be okay.
Thankfully, his protective vest did its job and saved his life!
CNN confirmed:
A US Secret Service officer was shot at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday night, three people familiar told CNN.
The bullet struck the officer’s protective gear and they were taken to a local hospital.
The officer is expected to survive, the sources say.
During his press conference after the shooting, President Trump said that he has spoken with the officer and that he is doing well.
