It might sound like fiction to some … but to those who believe in the historical authority of the Holy Bible, it’s a discovery that might bolster their faith.
According to one researcher working with a team in Turkey, a recent discovery points more clearly than ever to the conclusion that the formation they’ve discovered was created out of the remains of Noah’s Ark.
Referencing the Old Testament account of a global flood and Noah’s obedience to God by creating the seafaring vessel, Noah’s Ark Scans researcher Andrew Jones appeared on Fox News recently to discuss the findings:
“I do believe that this is the real, decayed, buried remains of Noah’s Ark, the famous ship. And we’re doing our best to convince the skeptics and show the world this site,” he said.

Jones said his team’s latest work has revealed tunnels in the landform suggestive of a manmade structure.
“Our new research has shown that there are tunnels about four meters down and about two meters high, going down the center of the boat and on the inside edge of the hull shape,” he said.
“We really believe that this layout, showing tunnels and also possible support beams and walls, would suggest that it’s a manmade object and not just a natural formation.”
Many geologists disagree, saying the remote site just a mile from the Iranian border is nothing more than a hill. But Jones said the Bible states the Ark landed in the area, that the dimensions of the site also match the biblical description and that the soil inside the formation showed remarkable results in testing.
The social media commentary that followed contained a mixture of interest and skepticism:
For all the people screaming, “this was debunked!”
Isn’t it possible the tech for our ground penetrating radar has advanced? Maybe a new assessment is giving us new and better information about this site?— Chronos and Cryptids (@ChronosCryptid) April 21, 2026
Jesus said that even if someone came back from the dead to warn Lazarus brothers about Hell, they still wouldn’t believe. Of course the Bible is true and accurate. But sadly, even if this turns out to be a 100% true archaeological find, most unbelievers won’t believe.

I want to believe. But I'll wait for the underground scan data before getting too excited.

Here’s what the New York Post added:
“In 2024, we took 88 random soil samples inside and outside of that ship shape,” Jones recalled. “And what they showed was that the soil inside the ship shape had three times more organic matter than right outside, and 38 per cent more potassium.”
“What that shows is that the soil is unique. And the grass, in the fall, it has a yellower color just inside.”
“It’s exactly the link given to the Bible. It’s 300 Egyptian cubits. For us, these are all positive lines that we’re pursuing, and it’s showing that there’s more to be found,” he said.
Fossil remains found deposited around the boat-shaped site, which sits roughly 6,500 feet above sea level, could also show evidence of the Great Flood, Jones argued.
Ancient coral and seashells uncovered by researchers could prove that “one time this area was underwater,” he added.
