Social media can be used to spread all sorts of divisive, hateful content. But on occasion, it also allows us to see uplifting moments like the one recently shared by WNBA star Sophie Cunningham.
She shared video of her recent re-baptism, along with a brief testimony about what led her to the decision.
Here’s what Breitbart reported:
In a video on TikTok, Cunningham was seen being baptized at Christ’s Church of the Valley, located in Peoria, Arizona.
ADVERTISEMENT“I got baptized when I was little, but I was feeling a tug on my heart to do it on my terms as an adult!” Cunningham wrote in the post. “Such a fun, amazing day. Thank you, Jesus.”
The video evoked a widespread response on social media:

As the Daily Mail explained, the ceremony came at a pivotal point in her career with the Indiana Fever:
Indiana confirmed she had rejoined the team on Sunday afternoon, with the one-year deal meaning she will line up alongside close friend Caitlin Clark again in 2026.
In a statement on the Fever’s website, Cunningham said: ‘We had a really special group last year and it was an incredible first season for me in Indy; I loved everything about my teammates and the Fever organization.
‘We fought through a ton of adversity, and it was important to me that we have a chance to see through what we started.
