Teen Driver Plunges Off Tulsa Bridge With 1-Year-Old Inside


This is a miracle.

A teen driver drove off a bridge in Tulsa, Okalhoma on Saturday night.

Inside the vehicle were a 1-year-old and an 18-year-old passenger.

Miraculously, the 1-year-old suffered only minor injuries, and the driver and the passenger of the vehicle also survived without any life threatening inuries.

Fox News reported more on the crash:

A vehicle went airborne off a Tulsa bridge early Saturday and crashed upside down onto an interstate below, leaving a 1-year-old child injured and forcing a highway shutdown as rescuers rushed to the scene.

Officers responding around 5:08 a.m. near Southwest Boulevard in Tulsa found the vehicle overturned on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 244 after it crashed through a fence and fell from an overpass, the Tulsa Police Department said.

Dispatchers reported hearing a child crying at the scene.

A 17-year-old driver, an 18-year-old passenger and the 1-year-old child were inside the car at the time of the crash, police said.

Police said a 17-year-old was driving the vehicle when they failed to stop at a stop sign before striking a curb. The car went airborne over a drainage ditch, crashed through a fence and fell onto the interstate below, according to police.

An 18-year-old passenger and a 1-year-old child were also inside the vehicle. Police said the child was not in a car seat.

The child was injured in the crash, and she was transported by ambulance to a hospital. She is expected to recover, according to police.

It is unclear if the two teenagers were injured. Police said charges against the driver are possible.
