If you still aren’t convinced that big changes need to be made to birthright citizenship, maybe this will change your mind.
Last week, a Chinese-American brother and sister duo (allegedly) brought an explosive device to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL.
The sister, 27-year-old Ann Mary Zheng, was arrested and charged. But, her brother, Alen Zheng, escaped and is still at large.
We covered that story in more detail here:
Brother And Sister Indicted After IED Discovered At Military Base In Florida
Now, as it turns out, the Zheng siblings are children of illegal immigrants.
Both the mother and father of these would-be terrorist siblings were arrested by ICE last month after living in the U.S. illegally for over three decades!
Here's what we know:

🚨ARRESTED🚨
ICE arrested the parents two U.S.-born siblings linked to the attempted placement of an improvised explosive device at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
Ann Mary Zheng was charged with being an accessory after the fact in connection with her brother Alen Zheng's alleged actions, as well as evidence tampering.
The DOJ stated that Ann Mary Zheng, aware that her brother had attempted to damage government property by fire or explosion, assisted him in an effort to hinder and prevent his apprehension, trial, and punishment.
The alleged perpetrators, who were born in the United States, are the children of parents who entered the country illegally.
ADVERTISEMENTThis incident highlights concerns over the application of birthright citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants, which critics argue conflicts with the original intent of the Constitution and poses risks to public safety.
The Daily Wire was the first to report:
A man and a woman who entered the United States illegally three decades ago were arrested by the Department of Homeland Security after their children brought an explosive device to a military base, The Daily Wire can first report.
Qiu Qin Zou and Jia Zhang Zheng illegally entered the United States in the ’90s, were denied asylum, but remained in the country for several decades, The Daily Wire has learned. They had two children as they illegally resided in the country — Ann Mary Zheng and Alen Zheng.
Last week, the Department of Justice charged 27-year-old Ann Zheng with her part in attempting to explode an IED at MacDill Air Force Base Visitor’s Center in Tampa. She was arrested as she returned to the United States from China, where authorities believe her brother remains.
DHS arrested the duo’s parents on March 18 for illegal entry.
Qiu Qin Zou and Jia Zhang Zheng remain in ICE custody. They had applied for asylum in 1993 but their applications were denied by an immigration judge, who ordered their removal from the U.S. in 1998. DHS says that the Board of Immigration Appeals repeatedly denied their attempts to have their case reopened. Despite this, they remained in the United States for decades.
What this means is that both of the alleged terrorists are anchor babies of Chinese illegal aliens -- meaning they were automatically granted U.S. citizenship at birth.
Yet, as Justice Alito asserted during this week's Supreme Court hearing, they obviously had allegiance to a foreign enemy.
That fact alone is reason enough to strike down birthright citizenship!
It's simply a matter of national security and the safety of the American people.
The DHS noted:
INSANITY: The suspects connected to an attempt to plant an explosive device at MacDill Air Force Base are the children of ILLEGAL ALIENS. @ICEgov apprehended the suspects’ parents, Qiu Qin Zhou and Jia Zhang Zheng, illegal aliens from China.

This attempted attack illustrates why the improper recognition of “birthright citizenship” for the children of illegal aliens is not only inconsistent with the Constitution, but endangers all Americans.
If you haven't heard Justice Alito's argument concerning the foreign allegiance of anchor babies yet, you have to listen here:
🚨 BREAKING: It was just revealed that the Chinese suspects who tried detonating an IED at a US Air Force Base were BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENS of ILLEGAL ALIENS
Omg. This is EXACTLY what Justice Sam Alito tried telling everyone at the Supreme Court!

Per Daily Wire: The two's parents were arrested on March 18 for illegal entry, they tried getting asylum in 1993, but ultimately got a deportation order in 1998.
It was the CHILDREN of Qiu Qin Zou and Jia Zhang Zheng who tried bombing MacDill Air Force Base Visitor’s Center in Tampa FL.
Justice Alito LITERALLY warned that the children of foreigners would have allegiance to our enemies.
He was right. At least FIVE JUSTICES need to see the writing on the wall and do the right thing!
Take this as real-life proof that Justice Alito is right and birthright citizenship needs to go...
It should serve as a wake-up call for all the other Supreme Court justices who are skeptical of President Trump's order striking it down.
Pray that SCOTUS makes the right choice!
