Even though the Muslim attacker who opened fire at Old Dominion University yesterday is dead, accountability isn’t stopping there.
Today, the Department of Justice arrested the man who sold the gunman a rifle — despite his past conviction for trying to support ISIS.
Kenya Chapman is facing two felony charges after selling the gun to Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, who went on to use the firearm to kill a professor and injure two other people at ODU.
🚨 BREAKING: Trump DOJ slaps felony charges on the man who SOLD the gun to the Muslim attacker who shot up ODU in Virginia — Kenya Chapman
The man reportedly KNEW Mohamed was a criminal.

BREAKING: The U.S. Department of Justice has filed federal charges against Kenya Chapman for allegedly illegally selling the firearm used by Mohamed Bailor Jalloh in Thursday’s deadly shooting at Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, Virginia.
Fox News: “Charged with making false statements to investigators about providing the weapon to Mohamed Bailor Jalloh. [A] 22-caliber weapon authorities say was stolen about a year ago and sold to Mohamed Jalloh for $100 in the past week.”
“Jalloh, as convicted felon, is not allowed to possess or own a firearm.”
The rifle that Chapman sold to Jalloh was stolen, in the first place.
Chapman admitted that he knew Jalloh had spent time in prison and was barred from owning a firearm when he illegally sold him the gun, but did it anyways.
ABC 7 reported:
Kenya Chapman is facing federal charges in connection to the sale of the weapon to Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a former Army National Guard member who yelled “Allahu akbar” before he opened fire in a classroom at the Virginia school on Thursday, according to authorities. One person was killed and two others were injured in the shooting.
Jalloh was barred from possessing a gun given a previous felony conviction for attempting to aid the Islamic State extremist group.
ADVERTISEMENTChapman told agents in an interview that he stole the gun from a car in Newport News, Virginia, about a year before the shooting and recently sold it to Jalloh. Chapman said he met Jalloh at work and that Jalloh told him he needed the gun for protection as a delivery driver, according to court papers. Chapman told agents he knew Jalloh had spent some time behind bars but denied knowing he had a previous felony conviction.
Chapman told agents he had no idea the man would commit the attack, the affidavit says.
This isn’t the first time that Kenya Chapman has been in trouble with the law.
In 2021, he was investigated by the ATF for straw purchasing guns that were later used by criminals.
However, the DOJ ultimately declined to prosecute him.
Bill Melugin of Fox News shared the full scoop on that:
BREAKING: DOJ has charged a Virginia man with illegally selling the gun used by ODU terrorist Mohamed Jalloh. According to the federal complaint, Kenya Chapman sold a .22 caliber Glock 44 pistol to Jalloh for $100 this week. He admitted he first stole it from a vehicle in Newport…

BREAKING: DOJ has charged a Virginia man with illegally selling the gun used by ODU terrorist Mohamed Jalloh. According to the federal complaint, Kenya Chapman sold a .22 caliber Glock 44 pistol to Jalloh for $100 this week. He admitted he first stole it from a vehicle in Newport News, VA a year ago.
ADVERTISEMENTAdditionally, DOJ says Chapman was the subject of an ATF investigation in 2021 after he straw purchased three firearms that were later recovered from crime scenes, including a homicide. Chapman admitted to the illegal straw purchases (when you buy a gun and falsely claim its for yourself when you intend to sell it or give it to someone else), but the Biden DOJ declined to prosecute him. Instead, Chapman was given a warning, and he signed an apology letter.
According to the federal complaint, Jalloh, who was convicted of providing support to ISIS and had been released from prison early after just 7 years, was visited at his Virginia home by his US probation officer every 6 months.
The probation officer’s last visit to Jalloh’s home in Sterling, VA, was November 17th, 2025.
Additionally, according to the federal complaint, the evening before Jalloh carried out the terrorist attack at ODU, his phone was tracked in the vicinity of the Islamic Center of Hampton, VA.
The Biden DOJ’s solution to Chapman’s crimes was having him sign an “apology letter.”
Give me a break.
But now, under the Trump DOJ, he’s finally facing justice.
Finally some actual justice under Trump’s DOJ. The previous admin let this straw buyer walk after admitting to multiple illegal purchases — now his gun ends up in a terrorist’s hands killing and wounding innocents. Maximum sentence, no parole, make an example out of him. Lock him…

What do you think?
Should Kenya Chapman be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for illegally selling a gun to the ODU shooter?
How do you see it?
