Iran’s president is refusing to back down.
Masoud Pezeshkian has rejected President Trump’s demand for unconditional surrender.
He called the demand “a dream.”
The Iranian leader spoke in a prerecorded address on state television.
He made clear his country would never capitulate.
From Reuters:
“He dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s demand for the Islamic Republic’s unconditional surrender as ‘a dream’, but said its temporary leadership council had agreed to suspend attacks on nearby states unless strikes on Iran originated from their territory. The council also discussed the ongoing military pressure from American and Israeli forces.”
The conflict is now in its second week.
Trump has made his position crystal clear.
Only total submission will end the offensive.
From Axios:
“Unconditional surrender could be that [the Iranians] announce it. But it could also be when they can’t fight any longer because they don’t have anyone or anything to fight with,” Trump said in a phone interview. “They’ve been given every opportunity to negotiate peacefully. They chose war instead.”
President Trump is taking a hard line.
He wants Iran to understand there is no middle ground.
The choice is simple: surrender or face destruction.
Pezeshkian tried to soften the blow regionally.
He apologized to neighboring countries for attacks during the war.
He promised those nations would not be targeted unless strikes on Iran came from their soil.

From The Guardian:
“In a prerecorded address broadcast on state television on Saturday, Iran’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian, said the country would never capitulate. He was responding to remarks by the US president, who said on Friday that only Iran’s total submission would bring an end to the military campaign. The Iranian leader’s defiant stance signals continued resistance despite mounting international pressure.”
Iran has been striking targets in Israel and the Gulf.
They have used drones and missiles.
The Iranian regime is feeling the pressure.
Trump warned Iran will be hit “very hard” today.
There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it…

The President is not bluffing.
He has the full support of Israel.
American forces stand ready.
From Newsweek:
“Pezeshkian rejected U.S. demands for Iran’s unconditional surrender, calling them unrealistic, while Trump repeated that only unconditional surrender would bring an end to the offensive launched a week ago. The war has already claimed hundreds of lives on both sides and shows no signs of slowing.”
Iran’s leadership is divided.
The temporary council wants to limit regional fallout.
But Pezeshkian is publicly defiant.
The Iranian people are caught in the middle.
They suffer under a regime that exports terror.
President Trump is offering a path forward.
Surrender completely.
Then select acceptable new leadership.
America and its allies will help rebuild.
President Pezeshkian:
We were always seeked peace, but in this condition, the only way to end this war, is "unconditionally stop" of enemy's violation and making us sure that Zionist terrorists journeys would end for ever.
otherwise our response to enemy will be harder.#iran https://t.co/iGnSbj6FAX— Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran (@Iran_GOV) June 20, 2025
Iran has a choice to make.
They can continue down the path of destruction.
Or they can accept reality.
President Trump has made America strong again.
Our enemies are learning that weakness is no longer our policy.
Peace through strength works.
