JUST IN: Jill Biden's Ex-Husband Charged With Murdering His Wife

In a shocking development, Jill Biden’s ex-husband William Stevenson has just been charged with murdering his current wife, Linda.

Stevenson was arrested and taken into custody today.

He is facing first-degree murder charges.

In December, police responded to a domestic dispute at the Stevensons’ home and found Linda unresponsive.

She died despite attempts to save her life.

Authorities have not revealed her cause of death, yet.

NBC News reported:

William Stevenson, 77, was taken into custody Monday and is facing a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Linda Stevenson, according to a grand jury indictment filed in Delaware.

New Castle County police did not provide details on the death, but an initial release had noted that officers responded to a domestic dispute Dec. 28 at a residence in the Wilmington area.

Linda Stevenson was found unresponsive in the living room and died despite lifesaving measures by officers at the scene. The press release at the time said that her body was turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy.

In Linda Stevenson’s obituary, the 64-year old was described by loved ones as “deeply family-oriented,” and a big Philadelphia Eagles fan. It also said she founded a small bookkeeping business in the final years of her life.

A cause of death was not included in the statement on William Stevenson’s arrest. The grand jury’s indictment Monday was the result of an “extensive weekslong investigation” into the death, police said.

Jill Biden was married to William Stevenson from 1970-1975.

Stevenson accused her of cheating on him with Joe Biden, whom Jill married two years after their divorce.

Two years later she wed then-Senator Joe Biden (D-Del.).

Stevenson has accused Jill of having an affair with the one-term Democratic president prior to their divorce.

Stevenson and Jill worked on Joe Biden’s first campaign for Senate in 1972 when they both grew close to him, Stevenson has claimed.

That same year Joe Biden’s first wife, Neilia, and their infant daughter were tragically killed in a car crash.

Stevenson said he started suspecting Joe and Jill were having an affair in 1974.

Joe and Jill claimed they first met after they were set up on a date in 1975 after Joe became a widower and Jill split with Stevenson.
