As you may remember, former Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino went viral on social media last summer for a post about being “shocked” down to his “core” by something at the agency.
At the time, he said he would “never be the same after learning what I’ve learned.”
For reference, here’s his original post:

The Director and I are committed to stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations. It is a priority for us. But what I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters, has shocked me down to my core. We cannot run a Republic like this. I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned.
We are going to conduct these righteous and proper investigations by the book and in accordance with the law. We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE. As with any investigation, I cannot predict where it will land, but I can promise you an honest and dignified effort at truth. Not “my truth,” or “your truth,” but THE TRUTH.

But, Dan Bongino never expanded on what it was that led him to posting that.
At least, not until now.
Today, Bongino called in to “The Vince Show,” which is a podcast hosted by The Daily Caller‘s editorial director Vince Coglianese.
Bongino told him that he wrote the post after being stunned while reading documents about Operation Crossfire Hurricane.

For those who prefer to read, The Daily Caller summed up Bongino’s response:
“It was basically about Crossfire. I was just reading some stuff about Crossfire,” Bongino said. “And … I was blown away … I lived in this kind of tiny apartment in D.C., … And I’m sitting there and I’m thinking to myself, ‘I couldn’t believe it happened here.’ You know, Vince, like having been a Secret Service agent, a police officer, and I hadn’t been in the FBI role that long, but it had been a few months.”
“I just thought, gosh, these guardrails just broke down because of people. People are guardrails, not robots … And I was just stunned at how many people just let this — just the incredibly poor decision-making,” he added. “It blew my mind … I got up the next day and I just fired that out … I was really shaken by the whole thing, how these guardrails broke down so quickly. It was astonishing. And I was — oh boy. Even now talking about it, I just remember that feeling. Like, oh my gosh, did this really happen? Yeah, that’s what that was about.”
If you don’t know, Crossfire Hurricane refers to the FBI’s bogus investigation into alleged Russia collusion during President Trump’s 2016 campaign.
The more we learn about it, the more it’s evident just how deep the corruption at the FBI went.
Dan Bongino says that he’s planning to discuss more about the revelations that shook him to his core on his upcoming show.
