BREAKING: Federal Agents Sh**t Two People in Portland

This is a developing story.

Federal Border Patrol agents have shot and wounded two people in Portland, OR.

One was male, and the other was female. Some reports indicate that they may be husband and wife.

Both have been hospitalized.

Here’s what we know so far:

ABC News has the latest update:

Portland police officers responding to a call for help shortly before 2:30 p.m. local time found a man and woman with “apparent gunshot wounds,” according to the police department.

“Officers confirmed that federal agents had been involved in a shooting,” the Portland Police Department said in a statement, adding, “Portland Police were not involved in the incident.”

Federal agents involved in the shooting are with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, not Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to sources.

Police officers applied a tourniquet and called for emergency medical personnel, and the two shooting victims were transported to a hospital, police said. Their conditions are unknown, police said.

The Seattle Times shared a response from the Portland police chief:

“We are still in the early stages of this incident,” said Portland police Chief Bob Day in the release. “We understand the heightened emotion and tension many are feeling in the wake of the shooting in Minneapolis, but I am asking the community to remain calm as we work to learn more.”

The timing of this shooting is notable.

Just yesterday, an ICE agent was forced to shoot a woman in self-defense after she tried to hit him with her car in Minneapolis.

At this time, we can’t confirm the details about what transpired between these two people and CBP agents in Portland.

However, it looks like it may have been a similar situation.

Independent journalist Andy Ngo reported that the man and woman tried to run over agents with their car before the shooting.

Take a look at this:

Breaking: Two people have just been shot by Border Patrol during an immigration operation in Portland, Ore. Anti-ICE accounts have circulated screenshots alleging that a 911 dispatcher leaked to them information about a call for police assistance.

The call log also shows a 911 call from Border Patrol stated that a husband and wife who were shot almost ran the agent(s) over. ABC News is reporting that the shooting occurred near East Burnside and 141st Avenue.

As you might expect, Portland’s left-wing Mayor Keith Wilson already appears to be trying to politicize today’s incident.

Local news outlet KPTV released his written statement:

Portland Mayor Keith Wilson issued a written statement on Thursday afternoon after the shooting.

“Just one day after the horrific violence in Minnesota at the hands of federal agents, our community here in Portland is now grappling with another deeply troubling incident. Earlier this afternoon, two people were shot and injured by federal agents in the Hazelwood neighborhood.

We cannot sit by while constitutional protections erode and bloodshed mounts. Portland is not a “training ground” for militarized agents, and the “full force” threatened by the administration has deadly consequences. As Mayor, I call on ICE to end all operations in Portland until a full investigation can be completed.

Federal militarization undermines effective, community‑based public safety, and it runs counter to the values that define our region. I will use every legal and legislative tool available to protect our residents’ civil and human rights.

I call on every Portlander to represent our values and to show up with calm and purpose during this difficult time. Portland does not respond to violence with violence. We respond with clarity, unity, and a commitment to justice. We must stand together to protect Portland.

The City of Portland will continue to provide updates as they become available. We are grateful to our first responders for their support of the victims.”
Portland Mayor Keith Wilson”

We’ll continue to bring you further updates as they come in.

Please pray for the safety of our federal agents.
