Feminist Organization Code Pink Targets Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent While Having Dinner

If you are in the Trump administration even going out to dinner can be dangerous.

A new video shows a group of activists affiliated with Code Pink, an anti-war feminist organization, verbally harassing Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

In the video, the Code Pink activists, were seen shouting at Bessent for his economic policies.

Code Pink released an article about their antics:

As the Trump administration has announced a naval blockade around Venezuela and continues to threaten war on the small, sovereign Latin American country, CODEPINK took the opportunity to call our Secretary Scott Bessent for his role in killing innocent people.

At a wine bar in DC, CODEPINK DC organizer Olivia DiNucci “toasted” Bessent:

“We wanna make an announcement! We have a special guest here, and we wanna make a toast for the Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent! So let’s give it up for the man who is eating in peace as people starve across the world based on his sanctions, which are economic warfare.”

After some back and forth with some people booing, DiNucci continued, “He oversees the deaths of 600,000 people due to sanctions annually! How many people are going to die because of the blood that’s on your hands?” she continued.

NBC News reported more on Trump’s outing being disrupted by Code Pink:

President Donald Trump’s rare outing to a local restaurant Tuesday night got off to a rocky start when he came face to face with protesters.

Trump, accompanied by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other administration officials, arrived by motorcade at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab less than a quarter-mile from the White House.

Trump briefly spoke to reporters on the street outside the restaurant, where he was met with cheers and some chants of “free Palestine.”

Once he was inside, as he greeted restaurant patrons, a group of protesters holding Palestinian flags began chanting, “Free D.C., free Palestine, Trump is the Hitler of our time.”

The activist group Code Pink claimed credit for the protests. In a video on its social media accounts, Trump is seen approaching the protesters before he stands in front of them and smiles. He then gestures for them to leave, and they are escorted out of the restaurant as a protester says, “He’s terrorizing communities in D.C.”
